Messaged Kristi the night before asking if we could possibly check in early or just leave our bags in the room beforehand. There was a snow storm anticipated so we were getting to Canmore earlier than anticipated. No reply. Ok that’s fine. It wasn’t an expectation by any means. What I DO expect though is to get access to the rental at check in time. All the instructions say you won’t get the code for the door until closer to check in, which is 4:00. 3:00 nothing, 3:30 nothing. I figure maybe it’s an auto send at 4:00 so we take our luggage up to the room in the hall and at 4:00 we are waiting. Nothing. Text Kristi, no reply. Call Kristi, no answer, message on the app, no reply. It’s now 4:20, all our luggage in the hallway still, and I decide to call one more time while my husband and child are begging me to just book with the hotel when Kristi answers and gives me the code. Not acceptable. Pros: outdoor pool, sauna and hot tub are great. Park pass is nice We have stayed at Stoneridge before, but though the hotel side. Usually you get a bit more with vrbo, coffee or welcome basket, so we booked vrbo this time. Disappointed to see freezer burnt nabob in the freezer and nothing else. In fairness, I forgot the top to my daughters bathing suit in the dryer after check out. Kristi reached out to let me know and offered to send it which was nice. We declined but this review was a 3 star until then. Would definitely stay again, but through the hotel.
