big house near beach

This is a big house; 3 double bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms. Lots of different rooms downstairs, both inside & out. Good useful space for relaxing both inside & outside. Well equipped kitchen although there is a microwave but no oven. Washing machine is locked away so only maid can use which was odd to us as western Europeans. Very handy for walking to beach & off main road so fairly quiet

Henry is a super host who can’t do enough for you! We would be lost without Henry reachable on the another side of line. The house is spacious for three of us. The only reason I didn’t give 5star is perhaps to do with some of issues we experienced such as lost of power/wifi and insects albeit not fault od the host which just part of luck.

es war einfach wunderbar ! angefangen vom Empfang, über die Betreuung vor Ort bis hin zum Service durch die gute Seele des Hauses ! Gerne wieder ! So macht FeWo Spaß ! Zur Location ,.... Tante Emma Laden gegenüber , klasse Restaurant gegenüber , zum Strand 3 min und jede Menge tolle Bars in der unmittelbaren Nähe ..... was will man mehr ? !

lovely house in great position

This is a lovely house in a great position. It is between Calangute and Candolim so offers great access to both. It is minutes from the beach that has some really nice beach shacks. Henry the owner is always there to help when needed, he really wants you to have the perfect stay. The maid comes in twice daily and keeps the house spotlessly clean as well as doing all the washing and ironing. Even when the power goes down in the rest of the area you will still have power from the generator that kicks in, which was a blessing. Taxis are easy to get from the house as there is a taxi rank just a few yards from the house as well as small shops, fruit and veg stall and the use of the hotel pool just a few minutes away. All of the rooms are a good size with both ceiling fans and very efficient air conditioning. There is everything you need in the kitchen if you choose to cook including a water purifier which was a real bonus (no lugging home water bottles). We arrived in the early hours of the morning and was greeted by Henry who was kind enough to have the coffee on and a fridge stocked with beer! So what we wanted after the long flight! Henry and his lovely wife went out of their way to make this a perfect stay and even popped in with a lovely cake for Christmas, I would definitely go back to this house again if ever I went back to the area.

Beautiful House

Where do I start, Henry was a great host from the beginning, answered all my questions and we originally booked for 7 days but ended up checking in 3 days earlier as we were unhappy with our 1st house, he accomodated us immediately which was excellent. The house is beautiful, gorgeous outside areas and our lady that came in daily was lovely. She kept the house spotless was never in our space but always available. The linen and towels were excellent quality. All in all it was a lovely house would return and recommend. Henry was a great host throughout checking during our stay that all was ok.

The New Saudades is Exceptional

Had visited the Saudades last year with my friends and had put up a review dated 4th Nov 2015. This time visited with my family of eight. Expected a great place as the last time but what I got was an Exceptional place. They had improved (did not think it was possible) the house. Now they had terraces attached to every bedroom and the backyard was covered and more spacious, and the compound wall was raised to provide better privacy. All this without compromising on the integrity of the original house or the open spaces. The family was totally surprised that we got such a wonderful house for such a reasonable price. I have paid more than twice the price for a similar standard house without the great location the Saudades has and without the incredible amenities that the Saudades provides. What had not changed was the high standard of cleanliness and the wonderful hospitality. We had a great time and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The extra dining table outside, just next to the kitchen, was perfect for open air dinners.Thank you again Saudades!

Замечательный дом. Все соответствует описанию и фотографиям. Приятный хозяин, встретил рано утром, все рассказал и показал. Дом находится в паре минут ходьбы до пляжа. Рядом есть парочка восхитительных ресторанчиков. Вечера приятно проводить на террасе сидя в удобном кресле или лежа на подвесном диване. Мы очень довольны своим выбором места остановки, отпуск прошел великолепно. Мы были полностью избавлены от бытовых вопросов, так как каждый день приходила домработница и все делала - мыла посуду, убиралась, если надо стирала одежду. При этом ее присутствия мы не замечали, делалось все очень ненавязчиво.

Charming!

We loved this charming authentically Indian house, very well equipped, fantastic to have washing/cleaning done. Very well located by the beach and enjoyed the bonus of being able to use the pool next door. Would definitely recommend.

Best place I have stayed so Far in Goa!!!

This is my first review, as this deserves one! The official check-in time being 1300hrs like any other place, we were allowed to check-in at 6 in the morning, and the house was cleaned overnight! The owner(Mr. Henry) was courteous enough to greet us early in the morning and showed us around the house in great detail. I must say, you dont really need to go out to enjoy, with a house big enough to party and just relax, one can just stay here and have a gala time. With a Goan feel to the entire house, and nice cozy lounge areas, with a lawn,,, It was a great experience to be there for 3 days. On top of that, the location is excellent, away from the hustle bustle of Calangute, but 5 mins from the beach, with some quite cafes right outside the villa, this place is a must to visit and stay in Goa!!

TOUGH ACT TO FOLLOW

Six friends travelled to Goa for a seven days' holiday on a whim; No pre-booking. Found the Saudades Bungalow in a nice residential area a mere 100 mtrs from the Candolim beach. Although the Saudades was available for only five nights we knew we had to take it. And did we have the time of our lives - Thank you Saudades! We stayed indoors all five nights except for the morning swim in the pool and the evening walk on the beach - Just did not find the need to go out. Even rustling up some meal together in the wonderful and fully-equipped kitchen was fun and enjoyable. The late evening drinks in the lounge area was something we looked forward to. Yeah, the Saudades was too perfect in every way: Nice, stylish and cozy interiors; Spotlessly clean bathrooms; Very comfortable beds and quite luxurious too; and everything and the beach is within reach. How great is that. Then it was the 18th and we had to leave albeit reluctantly. Stayed the next two nights in a villa in the South of Goa. Nice but not a patch on the Saudades. I knew the Saudades would be a tough act to follow. You can bet your last Rupee we will be back to the Saudades.

Extremely comfortable, accesible & professional

Firstly the owner is a very passionate about the place and has made the place extremely pampering for the visitors.we had a wonderful stay and were very happy with the services and amenities provided ,which matched the description exactly. The location is also very accessible as far the beach , shops, clubs, restaurants etc.. lastly the pricing was appropriate for the property and amenities ..I'd definitely recommend this one to everyone.

An Idyllic holiday home

We stayed at Saudades over our Christmas and New Years. We love coming to Goa, and this bungalow has been a find. Walk for a few meters and you reach the sea shore. You can catch the most beautiful sunsets every evening. The sea is white and foamy and salty sea breeze makes me nostalgic. The bungalow is cosy and sparkling clean. Beds are made up everyday, the dishes done etc. All rooms are ensuite, have double beds, fitted wardrobes and are genuinely snug. You can even step out to the balcony from the rooms. For us, the best bit was that we had the whole house, with living room, kitchen, the extra guest bathroom downstairs and garden for the price of a hotel room. It is a home away from home.
