The pictures do not do this house justice. It was so cute and authentic. The host went well above standard to provide a comfortable welcoming stay. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms . We didn’t have to worry about drinking water , toilet paper, hand soap towels, salt pepper etc. they even provided welcome drinks and breakfast food for our arrival. The location was out of the crowds but close to great restaurants . The view was beautiful especially at sunrise.

We try to visit Isla annually and stay in a house near Punta Sur. The views of the Caribbean were stunning, the house was well equipped, and the check-in and check-out were seamless. Highly recommend Casa De Las Olas to anyone visiting Isla.

A perfect location for a family get away

We loved our stay at Casa de las Olas on Isla. It’s a fantastic getaway. The house was exactly as described, and the ocean views from the back and the pool were so relaxing. The ocean breeze really kept us cool throughout the day and night, and if we needed a little extra chill, there’s AC in the bedrooms as well! There is also a lovely atrium in the middle of the house, and stunning views from the rooftop. Before we arrived, Dave and Janet, the homeowners, contacted us several times with helpful tips about the house, fun activities on the island, their favorite restaurants, and transportation options. They went above and beyond by stocking the home with some breakfast goodies, wine, beer, coffee, and snacks—such a thoughtful touch that you don’t find with many homeowners. The caretakers were incredibly friendly and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We absolutely loved the home, and would highly recommend this place.

Amazing view

Lovely home with beautiful ocean view in quiet area of the island. Loved hearing the waves, feeling the ocean breeze and watching the sunrise each morning. Pool was great and the kitchen well stocked.

Perfect house in a beautiful, oceanfront spot, on the quiet part of Isla Mujeres.

First time on Isla and definitely made the right lodging choice- great spot for a view and relaxation, but an easy golf cart ride to good restaurants and the busier part of the Island. Would stay at Casa de las Olas again!

Best choice on the island

Loved this home! It was such a superb fit for our trip. Right on the ocean cliffs with fabulous views out of the dining, living and primary bedroom. The back deck and rooftop areas were perfect for lounging at all times of day. The landscaping and entire property layout, including the enclosed garden area leading to the rooftop are gorgeous and offer such a peaceful space. Owner and property manager were incredibly prompt and lovely to work with and provided us with everything we needed. Would highly recommend staying here!

First Family Getaway to Isla

Dream home across from the ocean

this home is amazing. Everything is as advertised, the owners are very nice and they really help you connect with nice experiences on the island. we had bad weather so we had to be home a lot and we really appreciated how comfortable and well equipped it was. from the front porch we could see turtles bobbing in and out of water. the neighborhood is quiet and a short walk from the stunning punta sur - which is a big plus.

We enjoyed casa de las olas, great location on punta sur, beautiful views. Enjoyed the rooftop in the evenings and mornings. The property manager met us at house when we arrived, we loved that they had a few items stocked in the house and fridge. Host was very responsive when I needed to extend a night. Great property, great stay on Isla.

Viva Mexico

This house is so Authentic Mexico. It's absolutely adorable. You truly feel like you are part of their beautiful culture as soon as you walk in the door. The rooms have the textured cement walls, Mexican tiles, a great outside atrium with a waterfall and plants. The pool was the perfect temperature to swim day and night. Owners contacted me a couple of times before I arrived with the house information & Caretakers left us some breakfast food, coffee & tea and snacks (very few VRBO are that generious).There is a AMAZING view of the ocean and was a wonderful breeze so we ate meals outside. But one of the coolest things to me was the Mayan Ruins are less then 1/2 mile away and if you walk up to the 3rd floor sitting area you can see them. The house does get hot during the day but as soon as you open all the windows (yes all windows and doors have screens) there was a great cross breeze (In May) and the A/C work great in the rooms. We had a wonderful time there and throughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks Dave, Janet & Lupita

This home and location is paradise. It is very well appointed, clean, spacious, private, and comfortable. All of our communications were met with timely, helpful answers and advice.
