Great view on the beach

Great little restaurant attached to the hotel. Big pool. Property manager was very informative and helpful. It was located far away from many Cancun activities so that was a logistical issue. A/C and ceiling fan did not work properly.

THE CONDO HAS MOLD

About 2 days into being there, i started feeling sick. Coughing, runny nose, chest congestion. I started inspectung the room. I found mold on the curtains beside the air conditioner that was blowing on our bed. The bed was concrete so i couldnt move it. The kitchen appliances were extremely rusty. The tv had a cracked screen. It rained while there and rain came in under condo entrance. I slid and fell on hip and elbow. The bathroom exhaust hadnt worked there in the 10 years according to mngr. Mold in the bathroom and mildew. Everything smelled. I actually lost 5 lbs from not having an appetite. No hot water. We had to leave 5 days early due to mold poisoning. Spoke to VRBO and they are on the host team. I have a dr. Report, pics, and video to back up every claim i have mentioned in this review. If you used VRBO and they misrepresented the room and didnt adhere to their "Booking with Confidence" mission statement, call the BBB. Get pics, names, videos of all. I wish i could post pics here but it will not let me. Older people warning, do not stay at Cancun Condo Plaza if you have underlying health issues. The restaurant there is expensive and the food is not even par. The aechitecture and view is beautiful, but not worth becoming ill. Stay at a 5 star luxury hotel that is all inclusive closer to shops. Their onsite grocery store has doll house size items at a very steep price. The other store down the road had garbage all over the ground and was a quite scary neighborhood.

Only Two Star (At best!!)

I have traveled a lot and been to many places, and I have to be very honest with my experience. After all, all travelers are looking for real genuine information. So, this is it; This is not a luxury place at all!! At the best with any stretch, it is only 2 Star. The building was probably built in the early 60s, if not earlier. There is no hot water, only warm! You will hear the wind, outside noise, and the AC unit very loudly. The restaurant on the site is worse than any fast-food joint in the US. So, you need to go out for food. But, drinks are great and convenient. But, the staff and the host were extremely helpful and kind. The location is great with a short walking distance to the beach.

Great view, not much else.

The photo above seems to suggest that these bed-like things are in front of the beach at beach level. In fact they are about 25 feet above beach level. In addition, this area was locked most of the time except when there was a massage therapist working there. The pool was cold and the ocean was dangerous. After taking the elevator to the ground floor it was necessary to walk down twenty steps to the pool level and another twenty to the beach level from there. At the bottom of the steps there was a sign showing flag codes for swimming safety. Red flag- "don't swim". There were red flags up and down the beach for as far as I could see every day we were there. I did go in the ocean but it was very rough and I didn't stay long. The surf was very strong and there are large lava/coral rocks that are often hard to see. The listing said there was a kitchenette. The so-called stove was an old rusted hot plate which had one of two burners working and an electrical short. When I put butter in the pan I got a serious shock when the knife hit the edge of the pan. Another was brought the next day. Internet was very spotty, including a full day where it wasn't working at all and it was a holiday so I was told we had to wait until the next day. Shopping was difficult. There was a small convenience store across the street but the closest supermarket was a 15-20$ cab ride away. There is a bus but it stops at all the hotels and takes longer.

Cancun Getaway

The views were stunning. The check in process was seemless and all the staff was nice. The restaurant by pool was convenient and had good prices. Only negative comment is having to use same towels for the entirety of our stay. Other than that, it was great and worth it.

Awesome get away

Bad from the start

We have rented from VRBO many times and this is our first bad review. The VRBO website had the property in the middle of all the restaurants and stores on the north side of the Hotel Zone. Turns out the property was 5 miles to the south, which meant taking a bus where ever we were going. Including a 30 minute ride to the dive shop I had reservations with. The property pool and beach are nice and the restaurant is good. But, the AC in the room dripped all night so we had to put towels on the floor and my wife had to open the back door to the patio just enough to squeeze through because was very hard to open, in fact the mgr said she would have someone fix it the first day we were there. Cold showers and little ants on the counter finish this review. As usual, people are always nice down there.

Great oceanfront condo

This Oceanfront condo is a bit dated, but the location and the facilities are great. The beach is not too crowded, the palapas provide a nice shade during the sunny times and the pool is ample and clean. There is a restaurant on the premises, but our experience with the food was not good....pizzas not good, beef tips not good, chicken soup was the only thing I really liked. Run the water from the sink and shower before you use it, so the rusty water gets flushed out. Nice fridge and MW in the room. Comfy beds.

Nice condo, service, best view for coffee in the am.

The canteen by the pool makes a decent cappuccino and the view is to die for both in this condo's balcony and pool. The maintenance is good. The pool is clean, the building although old is clean. The kitchen is too small for proper meals. The host is awesome, answers my questions quickly. This place is safe. But please don't take the ocean swim for granted, it you see red or yellow flags on the beach don't swim the tide and waves ARE dangerous. Don't let your kids in it without a lifeguard around and never deep the tide can pull you out! Listen to the lifeguard this is a rough ocean section. Love H

Great location, clean allergy-free place right on the beach in Cancun!

Cancun Plaza is a great location if you do not want to be in among the hustle and bustle of the high rises and chain restaurants of Cancun. This condo is located at the bottom of the "7". The place was immaculate, the owner is super responsive and there is onsite support for anything you need from the amazing Carmen. I have severe allergies and this unit was pet free, smoke free and down free - I had no allergy problems at all during our stay. They provide a microwave and refrigerator so that you can make meals on site and eat out quite a bit less than you need to with hotels. They also provide a 5 gallon distilled water dispenser which is a game changer for non-nationals. The beach is beautiful, the view of the pool and Caribbean from the balcony is stunning. Lucia is super responsive and helpful and, again, has onsite support that cannot be beat. The bus comes by every 5 minutes or so if you want to explore El Centro or other beaches further up the "7". Each trip costs about $.75 US. We highly recommend this place and hope to back very soon. Thank you Lucia and Carmen!

Clean, bright and verey comfortable.

From the time we stepped onto the property we were treated exceptionally well. Carmen showed us to our suite, explained how everything worked and left us to relax. Everything was better than expected. The restaurant on the property was very accommodating and the food was great. We ate at least one meal per day each of the five days in this restaurant. Beech access is easy and the pool and beech areas were very clean. The infinity pool is to die for. Access to the buses and the taxis is right outside the property and we did not have to wait long for either. Carmen found my wife some coffee in her office to help relax from the airplane ride and even gave us a ride into town for our daughters birthday dinner. We will go back. We really appreciate Carmen and Lucia letting us share this gem of a property. Carmen likes red wine so we treated her to a couple of bottles of Chilean wine before we left. Thanks you so much, Bob, Daneen and Katie.

Great location, amazing view!

We had a great time in this apartment during our 5 day stay in Cancun. The beach is amazing and you the best view as soon as you walk out in the balcony. Easy access to restaurants, located 5 minutes from the crazy part of town, safe parking. Check in was very easy and communication was excellent. We found excellent restaurants around us, and spent every single day at the beach. The pool is pretty nice too, and it helps to have a little bar there for drinks and quick bites. It's not a 5 star apartment by any means, and the building is outdated, but it offers everything you need for a perfect stay. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family!

This is an older property for the budget minded folks. Very loud at all times of the night. Typical tropical cockroach problems and very limited cooking facilities. Comfy beds and great staff all around . The beach is dangerous with lots of rip, be early 7 am to get a lounge under shade.

Lucia la dueña muy buena atención y Carmen la encargada muy amable y afectuosa...La ubicacion es genial.. El condominio limpio, gente muy amable, habitaciones grandes.. La vista al mar lo más bello del lugar. Pileta limpia grande..el restaurante muy rico todo, atención excelente, servicio rápido.. Un lugar para volver!!!!
