"We had electrical issues on 3 occasions with the electrician required eventually due to losing power in the kitchen as apparently the dishwasher was faulty as well as dubious taped wires a concern. The blind curtain rail in the living room was coming away from the wall. The place needed a good wipe over on arrival with dust obvious, such as, on bedroom side tables and dinner table. Lovely 1920s building, helpful staff, attractive bar, good location for many sites and on a number of bus routes (Canberra is not a very pedestrian-friendly city). Only quibble would be that, as one of the, possibly the, leading hotel(s) in the Commonwealth capital, a wider selection of Australian wines, and notably some from the smaller wine regions (for example, Beechworth, VIC) could be available."
