"Nostalgic setting. The hotel is well located in Mt Victoria opposite a park. Our room was comfortable and cozy (stayed in June) with a great ensuite. We were disappointed to learn that the restaurant at the hotel was closed but the breakfast was available and good. We tried to use the Council BBQ in the park one day to cook lunch but discovered it was not functional. The hotel's BBQ seemed not to be operational too. Overall enjoyed our stay."

"Great place for an overnight. Room was clean and had everything you wanted from a motel. Downside. We had an interconnected room and we could hear the tv from the neighbours even though they didn't have it on loud. Unfortunately they started watching tellie at 5 am and this made we woke up at that time :("

"What a wonderful location close to the Rail Station which has the old world feel about it. Walk to the local hotel which has a lovely ambience.The grounds are immaculate, the interior charming and welcoming with two outdoor seating areas close to the home and others scattered amongst the gardens. I would definitely recommend it as a respite from busy living and an introduction to all this unique region has to offer."

"Good value for money. Whilst close to the Great Western Highway and train line didn’t really notice it. Walkable distance into Blackheath shops. Very comfortable bed. You won’t speak to any staff at all, self service and checkout through lock box.There is some basic self service breakfast if you want to eat in with cereal, juice and bread. Some all day slices and cakes available to guests is a nice touch. The dining room is tiny and there aren’t any real common facilities. The laneway to the...
