Nice cabin with everything we needed. It's right off the highway with no real yard space, but that was perfect for us because we used it as our home base for the area. The host was responsive to any questions that we had and checked to make sure we had everything we needed.

Clean but very moldy downstairs.

Home was immaculately clean. Unfortunately they are not mindful of the moldy bedroom and shower area downstairs. If you are at all sensitive to mold steer clear. It smells bad down there. Husband and I arrived late with no other options so we slept upstairs on the couch and makeshift bed on the floor. They need a better dehumidifier - get rid of any carpeting - redo the tiny shower area. Also surprised it was right off a major road. - The good part was the well stocked kitchen and nice updated appliances. No dust. It was definitely clean. It just has mold issues that need to addressed. (The towels Stink bad of mold in the bathroom too.) Too bad because there was a nice big bed downstairs.

Quite an unexpected surprise!

It was an amazing little getaway and we were quite surprised at the layout of the rooms. What I expected was to turn the corner and find a little room to sleep in. Instead i was greeted to a staircase that led to a huge bedroom. It was an enjoyable weekend and look forward to staying again in the future!

Relaxing

Very quiet place to relax and unwind. We had everything we needed. The cabin is nice and clean. Bathroom is very small, needs to be enlarged. Hosts are very friendly. Some of the area is still under clean up from the flood. I would recommend this cabin

Great cabin, peaceful!

We stayed here during the NASCAR race in Bristol and loved the location, the peacefulness and the communication with the owners. They made the check in process so simple and easy and thought of everything we would need during our stay. Very clean!

Wonderful stay at Watauga Lake

The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The hosts were wonderful and communicative. Everything we needed was there and it was super convenient to the lake. The bathroom and bedroom are downstairs, so be aware of that if you have any physical conditions that would make it a problem. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely stay again when in the area.

Relaxing stay

The cabin is very cozy. I was impressed with how much attention went into preparing it for me and my friend. Check in was very easy, lights were on for us and the heaters were running in advance. We had everything we needed. The upstairs heater was slow to warm the room on one day, but worked just fine all other days. The location is near a beautiful lake with great views and not very far from Beech mountain where we went snowboarding. I recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a quiet stay away from the city.

Great little cabin!

Everything about checking in, cleanliness, and resources to help us enjoy the area was excellent with this little cabin! As Christie and Donoven state, there's really no yard although the back deck looks out to see a pasture with horses. It's roomier than it would seem and though it's right off 321, there was no issue with traffic noise or lights. We had a great vacation and it was nice to have such an easy experience with great hosts.

Quaint Cabin

Great for a quick stay and very convenient to public lake access. Overall the cabin was clean. The location of the cabin is very close to the road, would not recommend if you have small children. The cabin was probably not a home originally, the bedroom is on the lower level and had a musty odor. The bathroom is functional but also small with a 3x3 shower. Would be great for a couple fishermen looking for quick access to the boat ramp.
