Great location right across the street from the slopes! The jacuzzi was a blast, the house was big enough, the comfy living room with fireplace and big screen was perfect for relaxing after tucking the kids in. We had a situation that the host took care of right away. Couldn't ask for more!

From the time I booked this property, to when my family and I checked in at the Saw Creek Estates, the process was easy. The owner and property manager were quick to respond to my questions and my family and I loved this house. We were looking for something that could accommodate 12 of us and this place didn't disappoint. The house was very clean, the kitchen facilities were exactly what were were looking for, and it had all the bells an whistles on our check list. The wifi was easy to connect to and getting in and out of the estate gate was easy once you checked in. I would highly recommend this house. It was also within walking distance of the pool and restaurant. Both of which were fantastic! The only thing I wish that was communicated in the Vrbo write up regarding this property, is that in order to use the pool and facilities you need a badge. Six badges come with the property to use; however, to add an additional person(s) the cost was 25 each. This is set by the Saw Creek Estates. If you have kids, there is also a pool table and ping pong table for them to use in the basement. The surrounding area is filled with many outdoor activities. This includes zip lining, kayaking, hiking within the nearby Pocono National Park, and museums to name a few. Again, great property within a secure and quiet estate that any family will certainly enjoy!

Beautiful setting.

Our family (10 of us) enjoyed our time at this home nestled in the woods! The home is as pictured, and although a little dated, it was clean. The kids loved playing in the basement, especially with the air hockey/ping pong table. Everyone had fun at the Top of the World pool - which was within walking distance. We were able to make great meals in the kitchen and appreciated that there was plenty of seating at the dining room table and counter. The owner was very kind and always responded quickly to our questions.

A Charming Mountain Retreat with Many Amenities

We had a wonderful time at Randell's cabin. This home is very comfortable and charming, even though it is slightly dated. The cabin is only 1,000 feet from the top of Saw Creek Estates, where you will find a full-service restaurant, a large outdoor pool, and other recreational facilities. The view of the mountains is gorgeous. We enjoyed using the good old charcoal grill on the porch just outside the dining room. All the bedrooms are tastefully appointed, and we loved the pool table and table tennis in the basement, which is also accessible through the side door a few steps down from the front yard where we parked our cars. We are happy to have found this vacation home in Saw Creek Estates, which is off Route 209 with plenty of stores and attractions nearby. You can quickly escape into the woods without being too far from all the conveniences. We hope to return next year!

Not what we were expecting

Have been using VRBO for vacation rentals' for many years. This is the first time that we were disappointed with our choice. Alot of maintenance issues, sliding door to rear deck was not working properly hard to slide, cloudy seal broken on doors.. Verticals on windows had issues not opening properly. In master bath hand held shower was not working. Upper level dead moths were in cup holders in recliners dirty . Lower level very damp, table had issues not stable needs to be properly secured. Pictures looked much better than what we found. FYI for anyone with mobility issues the door to the master bath is very narrow and my husbands was not able to use his walker. We appreciated the owner leaving us six passes to use on the property . The pool was the only amenity that we used. Did not find much to do in the area unless you want to drive 30-40 minuets. Wi-fi was spotty my son could not work from this location. Had to cut our week short this did not work for us.

Great house

We vacationed 2024 and absolutely loved the house. It was large enough for the whole family, has a fun game room and communication with host was great. I will say definitely know what streaming channels you can bring because the WiFi is not great. Also, though the host was fantastic, the actual neighborhood was not very welcoming. I felt like the people at the gate and the customer service office were not very kind or helpful to outsiders. The amenities that came with the rental were great. The pools, fitness center and restaurant were so convenient. Overall i would rate this trip a 9/10!

Some ups and downs

Our group stayed for a weekend to celebrate our friend getting married. Because of the HOA, the property requires detailed paperwork and information beforehand. Since we were a group of 10 adults traveling from all over, it made it very difficult to organize (through no fault of the owner). For example, parking is limited to 3-4 cars, though we made it work. Some members of our group had trouble passing through the gate at first, even though the host communicated to them the names and they were on the list. The hosts of the property were kind and responsive. They provided us with support as we worked to get this resolved. I recommend this property if you are booking for more than just a weekend. It's a bit of a hassle with the up front work to just stay for a few nights, but a great location near Bushkill Falls. It also seems like a great spot for families with kids. The cleanliness could have been improved. Some areas of the home had spots that needed tending to. However, the price was great and we had an enjoyable time. One thing that would make the experience even better is that it would be nice if the property offered towels.

My family had every intention on skiing everyday while in the Poconos but the weather turned warm. Fortunately, the house we rented had a great game room and plenty of room for my family to stretch out when we were stuck indoors. The neighborhood was family oriented and the views were great.

Christmas trip

'Bear Cabin' is as described...welcoming and homey. Great hot water pressure. Had a bit of a problem with the TVs. We were never able to use the TV in the upstairs bedroom but I don't believe this impacted the couple that used the room. To property manager Melanie's credit she worked with me well into the night at check-in, troubleshooting the living room TV. The air hockey/ping ping table, and pool table in the basement are a great addition and an excellent distraction from TVs and devices. Unfortunately, weather did not permit us the option to enjoy the ski resort. They were just beginning to make snow during our stay. However, we were able to find reasonable options near by and the whole family enjoyed. Top of the World pool is closed (the closest indoor pool) however, there is Mill Pond pool was open about a 10 min drive from the house. Whether you take advantage of the amenities on the resort or not 'Bear Cabin' is still a fabulous choice for families, couples, girl's trips, whatever!

Great family vacation home

We had never been to the Poconos before. This location is excellent for Poconos outings. It is just around the corner from Bushkill falls and Delaware water gap. It wasn't too far to Camelback. We enjoyed the fabulous swimming pools through the neighborhood HOA. The kids loved the air hockey in the basement, and we got some modified ping pong in. The property manager, Malanie, was very helpful.
