The home has great potential. It’s open, roomy, and laid out well. It’s light and bright, even more so than in the photos. The beds are comfy. The management was very responsive and helpful. The home needs updating and editing. The basement furniture needs to be replaced. There are many surfaces throughout the home, with lots of knickknacks, which are unnecessary. The biggest issue is the closets in the main bedrooms: they were so stuffed with random items that they were unusable for us for our clothes. The owner needs to clear out half of the stuff that’s in the home. There were three large crockpots, six large platters, a drawer full of utensils to scramble through to find what was necessary to cook, and the flatware was minimal and cheap. The deck furniture needs to be replaced. The table is broken. The chairs around the kitchen table are somewhat broken and my grandson scratched his hand on a nail sticking out. There’s a large fake tree in the kitchen, which space could be better used for seating around the table. The folding chairs apparently had been left out in the rain and when we sat on them, water came out onto the floor. If a person brought their own boat, the boat ramp is very close and convenient. We were utilizing the local marina and it was quite a drive to get there. The Wi-Fi is good. The swimming pool is nice and close. The check-in was very slow as the man read many details to us that were included in the packet.
