Had a wonderful time. Loved the cabin, but the hot tub wouldn’t get hotter than 80 and the heater in the downstairs bedroom wasn’t working. Other than that we had a wonderful stay.

This place is cute, comfy and cozy. Everything was very clean and well stocked. Our only disappointment was that the property is listed as a waterfront - while a portion of the RESORT is adjacent to a river, this particular cottage doesn’t have a water view or a quick walk to any water.

This cabin is so cute and cozy! Comfortable bedrooms, a good kitchen and living area. The outside area is great for a little fire. The hot tub was so nice! Perfect for the cooler temps. There was a minor issue when we arrived (not anything that affected our stay) and the staff responded immediately. Loved this cabin and will probably book it again sometime! It is in the perfect spot an easy drive from all of the great scenic spots in the area!

Cozy stay

We had a wonderful stay in this cozy cottage! We arrived to thunderstorms, but the cottage provided a warm, dry haven for us to start our short vacation. This property would be great for two couple/small families to share, as there are two completely separate master bedrooms - one upstairs and one in the basement. Highly recommend!

Beautiful!

Everything was clean as could possibly be. I don’t know how old this cabin is, but it was impeccable. Uncommonly clean… The hot tub was very nice, very private, and protected from the weather. All three bathrooms were nice, kitchen was very clean and appliances were in perfect working order. Towels, bedding, pots and pans, utensils and silverware… we needed nothing… washer and dryer also worked well (bring your own tide pods, I don’t ever expect that to be provided) I wouldn’t hesitate to take another weekend in one of these cabins…. Very nice!

Wonderful Stay!

Beautiful home, great neighborhood, accurately described. My family came here to do some hiking and sightseeing and this was a great & relaxing home to come back to after a day out. We had everything we needed. I loved the house! I would recommend it to anyone!

Wonderful getaway!

Perfect escape from the city

Exactly what our family of 4 envisioned for our retreat from the city. Relaxing location, with all the comforts of home. The starter kit of the usual items not typically included in these types of stays (paper towel, dish soap, garbage bags, sponge, etc) and the stocked towels, hand towels and face clothes was a great touch! We had a wonderful time sitting by the fire, hanging out in the hot tub and bike riding. Thanks for having us!

Cut, Comfortable, & relaxing

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The bed was very comfortable and it had almost everything we needed. Only wished they had provided a hairdryer. The hot tub was nice to relax in. We would definitely recommend this property.

Great weekend get away

Property was as advertised; it was clean modern, quiet, and well maintained. We would definitely return, if we decide to go back to Cumberland. We really appreciated the little details that made our stay more pleasant; a well laid out fire pit area, nicely stocked kitchen, trail maps, and games for the kids. The finished shed was a nice option as a third bedroom but is not well insulated. It was fine in the early spring but probably not viable in the coldest and hottest months of the year. The only negatives are that there was the back of a kitchen chair had been previously broken and glued back together that was a small hazard, and we could not get the downstairs fireplace to work. We notified the front office, so I suspect these minor issues will be fixed soon. I also hope the owners might consider removing some of the vinca and invasive ivies. They look nice but the property is adjacent to a forest and invasive species have become problematic in many areas of the country.

Cozy, yet problematic

Nice little cabin for friends' weekend. There were several issues, however, and we do appreciate management working with us. A new cleaning company for the property had just started, so perhaps they just need to learn to check things more thoroughly. The much anticipated hot tub smelled of mildew, there was a lot of foam on its surface (we have a tub at home, this indicates body oils & lotions left in water), and a thick white scum. looking like lotion or soap, on the walls of one corner. Mary very kindly came over to clean the tub, but we ended up not using it. There were rotten boards on the deck, discovered when stepped upon & they broke underfoot, a dining chair whose back split apart when one person merely leaned back in her chair. When we pulled out the sleeper sofa our 1st night, there were lots of black chunks and crumbs on top of the mattress, so I just slept on the sofa itself. BUT, we enjoyed our stay, all the same. The area is beautiful, and all employees we met were friendly and kind. Perhaps rentals can be inspected between cleaning and arrivals to avoid such in future?
