Spacious and well appointed home with many indoor snd outdoor options for gathering or having some quiet time away from the group. Buena Vista is beautiful, walkable and “bike-able”. Large windows bring the Rockies and the wildlife “indoors” safely. Frank and Susan were accessible and prompt to answer our questions. A friendly property manager is nearby to handle any problems, but we did not have any. I was especially impressed that the home was stocked with every imaginable amenity from extra linens, to laundry, to cooking appliances, to bicycles, paper products, toys and games. A wonderful stay!

Great house for a getaway with friends or families. Lots of fun amenities- horseshoes, cornhole, tetherball, etc. great yard, quiet neighborhood. Convenient walk to old town. Easy access to all the area has to offer.I highly recommend.

Our stay was absolutely everything we could have wished for. The home is meticulously maintained, spacious and stocked with everything you could imagine and the neighborhood was so quiet and serene....just a perfect setting. The bicyles that were provided for guest's use, made it so enjoyable to venture into town and surrounding areas. The backyard was the quintessential gathering spot with horshoe pits, covered patio and upper deck which allowed for glorious views of the mountains. We had traveled there for a family wedding and wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the property more. Thank you to Frank and Suzan for being such gracious hosts! And a shout out to John for his wealth of information!

This may be the best VRBO experience I've had. We stayed with adult siblings and my two preschoolers and the home had everything we could think of for the little ones - toys, great fenced in backyard, safe and comfy sleeping locations (and a pack n play!). Us parents felt so relaxed! We received all the information we might need and felt very welcome.

This was a perfect fit for our family get-together.It's a great location close to hiking & biking trails, white water rafting, family float trip, relaxing in the Mount Princeton hot springs, St. Elmo's area to feed chipmunks and a great downtown area to explore. It is very well stocked in the kitchen & appliance area. Great games and equipment for all ages. Our younger Grands loved the play area. Horseshoes, corn hole and bike riding were enjoyed by all. There is enough space and area to gather as a large group and/or a small group. We particularly enjoyed the long tables that all of us could sit at and eat together!We all appreciated the multiple electronic device charging places. The only glitch was not having the code to unlock the door correctly entered. Once that was resolved it was great.One suggestion would be to have ceiling fans installed in the sitting area by the front door and the living room area by the long table. We were comfortable most of the time though.Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We appreciate the good communication with you too.

We cannot say enough good things about this home. It was perfect for our two families which included 3 toddlers. Plenty of space, perfect location, and great communication from the hosts - we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We especially appreciated the toys and backyard space to keep the young ones occupied and loved the walking path located just down the street with beautiful views of the mountains. If we are ever back in the area, we will surely book this home again!

Buena Vista for the 4th!

Perfect property for our family and our time in Buena Vista. Walked into town for the awesome 4th oh July parade & fun!Great communication from the owners, and home & amenities were exactly as described on vrbo. Would highly recommend this listing and hope we can stay there again.

Great place for a family reunion!

We booked this home to house some family for my son's wedding. We had 9 adults, two children under 13 and an infant. There was plenty of room for sleeping, gathering, and eating. Everything we needed was there and then some! We enjoyed playing horseshoes and cornhole and a couple of the younger members really enjoyed a ride on the tandem bike! The owners were great with communication and even ordered more fans since it was an unusually hot weekend. Check the fridge and pantry before you go to the grocery store. There were already plenty of condiments in there! The home has some fun and beautiful furnishings. I'm already pondering another reason to go back. Highly recommended!

Mountain View Encounter

Absolutely beautiful house and location. House is equipped with everything you can imagine. Wake up to Mount Princeton and a lush green meadow of deer grazing in a field. Quiet and so supportive from manager John and owner of the house Sue and Frank James with anything we needed. Truly a place of peace and serenity. Thank you again for a wonderful 2nd stay there.

Great spot!

We loved our stay at the Outpost! The place was perfect for three families looking for a getaway. Some great toys for the kids on-site and lots of nooks to put a pack and play. The location is perfect! The house backs up to open space and a trail with beautiful views. And it’s only a half mile or so from downtown. We’re already thinking about coming back for the summer!

Amazing Christmas vacation!

Perfect extended family get-together

This is a lovely really big house with a homey feel, lots of rooms for spreading out and a long table for coming together. Ten of us enjoyed time together. The setting is quiet and near the foot of beautiful mountains. The tether ball and horseshoe games were the source of joy and laughter. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Buena Vista wedding

Great stay at the outpost. Quiet neighborhood. Very spacious mountain home, huge dining area and room for everyone to have their own space. Even an upper deck to enjoy the views. A comfy house.

The house was spacious and in a very convenient location. The kitchen had many dishes. The bathrooms are updated. The area was extremely quiet. It was a perfect place for our family to gather together for a wedding .weekend.

Absolutely Perfect for our Family

We had 8 teens/adults and 6 infants /young children in our group. We have stayed in many rentals all throughout Colorado and this has been our favorite yet! Lovely, comfy, and has everything you need. The playset out back and the bicycles were real hits with all the youngsters. You couldnt ask for a more helpful host. We hope to book again!!

Great Place

We came here for a rafting trip and had a fantastic time. The house was great with good, sharp knives and some nice pans to go with them for our cooking needs. The best part were the bikes, especially the tandem bikes, we had an absolute blast riding into town on them. I would definitely stay here again.

Loved the Outpost!

Truly a home away from home. Suzan has equipped the home with everything you'll need to comfortably live, eat & play during your stay in Buena Vista. Beautiful, quiet neighborhood with great patio & deck. Spices, cooking tools, food storage supplies, you name it - all the amenities of your kitchen at home. Bikes were put to good use, plenty for everyone. The house is so comfortable, plenty of room for everyone to relax together or separately. We would absolutely stay again!

Wedding in the Mountains

This is a beautiful property with amazing views of the mountains while nestled back in a quiet neighborhood. The close access to a walking path at the end of the street makes for an easy breathtaking viewed stroll in the cool mountain air. The property made us want to come back for more relaxation time in the Rockies. We will definitely look to rent the property again in the future.
