Kitchen is user friendly, had all the necessities. Furnishings comfortable, including bed upstairs. Mandatory non refundable fee on the hot tub, and washer & dryer (?).

Great base camp

First time down in this area house was a great base camp. The place had everything we needed we were only missing the sun. The suggestion on the board are well worth a look. If we are ever in the area again we are sure to book this place again.

Birthday weekend getaway

This was a great little beach house! The hosts were very welcoming and didn't even mind our last minute addition of our kids. Very clean house/space, quiet neighborhood, and sweet welcoming gift. Thank you David and Debbie! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Lovely Home With All the Amenities

We stayed here for 4 days on our vacation, and out of all the rentals we've been to, this is our top 3 for sure. The house has everything you need and more including shampoo/conditioner/soaps, plenty of towels and robes etc. They even had board games and toys for the kiddos. We were greeted with a gift basket full of goodies which I thought was so thoughtful. The hot tub was nice to relax in after a long day of exploring, and the bonus was the chickens! My daughter loved to go out and feed them in the morning and check to see if they laid an egg. The home had so many unexpected perks, and we would definitely stay here again.

The house is nice and peaceful. It was a surprise to get a welcome gift. The chickens were cute but no eggs for us. Still in a bit of a remodel but everything works well. Would have liked a screen door for the back patio.

Perfect Girls’ Weekend!

My best friend and I came down for the weekend to do the Redwoods! Was a perfect little spot- and the hot tub was key after hiking all day! House was so beautiful and the gift basket was so nice! Thank you so much for sharing your little retreat with us!

Very well stocked! Only drawbacks were no trundle bed in downstairs room and the fridge didn’t get very cold. We ended up putting food in our cooler with ice. Cute house, clean, well stocked!

Perfect home base

This house was the perfect fit for my family of four. It was so comfortable and clean and well appointed plus a hot tub and fire pit. We stayed seven nights and the location was perfect for outings up and down the coast and up the river. I cannot recommend this place enough! Hosts were easy to reach and very hospitable!

Lovely place!

Terrific location, very quiet, at the end of a small street. Dave and Debbie were always super responsive with any questions we had. Beds were comfortable; the sheets were super soft and there were plenty of light, cotton blankets, for cool nights (with the window open). The layout of the house is excellent - a terrific use of space and 4 adults/children would be very comfortable there. The master bedroom is upstairs and in a "loft", overlooking the living room, so privacy would be minimal there. 2 decks and a very clean hot tub added to the fun! Maybe the best part (for us) - D&D have 6 chickens and they are a delight - in fact, after speaking with Dave about how he manages them, we're going to be taking the plunge and getting some for our house (I've been "on the fence" about this, for the past 3 years). A BBQ is provided on the lower deck, but it's not a gas BBQ. It's a large Weber that requires briquettes/lighter fluid, which are not provided, so be sure to bring some if you want to use it.

Honeymoon Stay

My hubby and I stayed here for my honeymoon and were on the road for 16 hours straight to get here. It was well worth it! This place was so cute, centrally located, and the hosts were the sweetest! We loved the little basket they left for us, as well as the card. The guestbook they have is adorable and they have a cute little recommendations chalkboard. It was wonderful and the hot tub was bigger than expected!

Super close to the beach, restaurants and boardwalk, great views of the ocean from the upstairs balcony. Hot tub was enjoyable and it was nice to have a BBQ. Loved that there was a baby gate for a little one. We would stay here again.

Perfect Beach House

This house was perfect. I’ve been coming to Brookings my entire life (38 years) and this is the best place we have stayed. Clean, perfectly decorated, gift basket on the table. Adorable chickens, fantastic view. We absolutely loved it and so did our 15 year old daughter.

Beautiful home!

This home is so beautiful and cozy! The host was absolutely amazing. There was peaceful music playing when we arrived and a sweet welcoming gift waiting for us on the table. The home was clean and fully stocked with anything we could have needed. I would 100% recommend this home to anyone looking to stay in the area.
