Walk to beach from this beautiful one bedroom air conditioned unit.

  • This property is a holiday rental, it is not a principal place of residence and there are no shared rooms. Enjoy your time in comfort and privacy.

    This beautifully designed one bedroom top (3rd) floor unit is the ideal getaway for couples or singles. The complex is stairs only with no lifts. Located across the road from the stunning Home beach, walking distance to the bowls club, Fever Coffee, Oasis restaurant and the iconic Straddie Pub.

    From the deck you can look out over the manicured grounds, pool and tennis court. This unit is ideally located and creates a wonderful space for relaxation. However, you won't need to go without your modern luxuries as this unit has high speed internet, dishwasher, washing machine, a well designed kitchen with coffee pod machine (Nespresso).

    The couch is a pullout, so although it is a one bedroom it can sleep a maximum of 3 people.

    Off street parking only.

    Linen supplied and beds are made for your convenience.

Great Straddie stay

Our original booking got cancelled not too far out from Christmas and we thought that we may need to spend Christmas at home but thankfully found this property for our stay. You do need to head up a few flights of stairs to reach the apartment so keep this in mind but after a few days was used to the climb.overall a pleasant stay.

Great stay at the Islander

We found the unit suited our needs perfectly. We were pleasantly surprised at how well the unit was appointed. There was ample linen and kitchen essentials tennis rackets and balls. The unit was clean and tastefully decorated and the view from the round window was quite pleasant. We had a wonderful holiday with the unit as a base and the Cylinder Beach sunsets and swimming was dream like.

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Highly recommend both this property and Ray White Stradbroke. The apartment was modern and comfortable (although aircon in the bedroom would help, or repair the ceiling fan) and we appreciated the pool. Good location and Ray White were fantastic. So helpful and sorted out any issues ASAP

Easy location

Unit could be supplied with consumables to make stay more user friendly, no tea/coffee supplied, no hairdryer. 3 flights of stairs a bit much by end of stay. Unit could do with a full spring clean, lots of dust, and the floor needed a good wash

The Islander

This property was very dirty. The place was full of mould. The bedding was stained. The whole place was covered in dust. The dust was falling off the light shade onto the kitchen table where you eat. The unit was nothing like the photos online. Not impressed at all. Wont be back !!

Reviewer Comments: Great location, estate people were really helpful to deal with, decor of apartment was lovely. It’s needing a bit more of a deep clean though- long term dust build on top of rangehood, in bedroom floor cupboards, dead spider in kitchen jar, no spare toilet paper, a flyscreen needed on the bedroom door, no batteries in the remote so couldn’t use tv at all.

As an exhousekeeper, i would not present a property as we found it. Finding a beer bottle top under the bed and thick dust on bedside lamps was enough.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit 23 At The Islander is a 1 bedroom unit on the third floor. There isn’t a lift so you need to be fit enough to use the stairs. 😀 It is tastefully decorated, well presented and equipped, clean and tidy. It is perfectly located within easy walking distance to the beach and local attractions. It would be great to have a fly screen on the bedroom so it can be opened at night as it can get a bit warm for sleeping with only the fan in the hotter weather. The handwritten welcome card is a nice touch. The complex has a bbq, pool, tennis court and lovely gardens with wildlife in close proximity.

The kitchen was dirty and a mix of crockery and glass ware, no 2 items matched. A coffee machine was in the cupboard, no coffee pods, no tea bags, no sugar.

The bathroom was very mouldy - across the ceiling, posing a health risk. If I had known about the mould, I could have booked something else. The apartment was generally dirty, with big chunks of hair in the bathroom (very visible, so nobody actually cleaned it). The key box could be opened with any code (posing safety risks to our belongings).

Reviewer Comments: The property was in a good location and within walking distance to beaches and eateries. There are a lot of stairs which may not suit some. Sadly for us the unit was in need of a major clean. The couches and cushions were badly stained. The bed covers were also stained and the fabric bed head was thick with dust. It was cold at night but unfortunately we were unable to use the aircon as it was clogged with dust and looked like it had never been cleaned. All the crockery was chipped and crazed and the advertised coffee machine was broken. The curtains in the living area were stained and mouldy. The bathroom ceiling was mouldy and the insect screen at the window was filthy. The owners really need to give their property some serious attention! I would not recommend this property to others.

First Timer Stay in Straddie

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Firstly got sent the wrong cobe to enter the premises ? Then had to chase down a the right code , there was no soap or dishwashing liquid to wash up , there was mould in the bathroom which also was dirty they need an extraction fan for moisture clearly ! The lounge was very dirty in and when folded out ! The air con unit was very filthy just a real bad experience ! Great location but very disappointed to say the least
