  • Enjoy a relaxing island escape in this charming home with covered decks offering partial ocean views, perfect for morning coffee or evening drinks. The house features three bedrooms—two upstairs and one downstairs, accessed externally—comfortably sleeping two queens and two singles. All bedrooms have ceiling fans, and the downstairs bedroom is air-conditioned for extra comfort. Families will love the kids’ TV room downstairs, also accessed externally, keeping everyone entertained.

    The home is fully screened to let the breeze in while keeping the bugs out and comes with WiFi, two TVs, and a DVD player. The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, microwave, dishwasher, and espresso machine with pods supplied, and the deck includes a BBQ, making it easy to enjoy meals outdoors. Practical touches like an automatic washer and dryer, outdoor shower, and a single lock-up garage suitable for a low-profile 4WD (no roof racks) complete the package.

    This property is perfect for families or small groups seeking a comfortable, relaxed island getaway with both indoor and outdoor spaces to unwind.

2nd Time Staying and Will be Back Again!

This was our second time staying at Cylinder Sands. It's such a lovely house in a perfect location across from Cylinder Beach, 2 minutes walk to the shops and 5 minutes to the pub. The house is well appointed with plenty of utensils to cook just about anything. The side patio is a great place to just relax with a beer and enjoy the afternoon breeze. We can't wait to return in summer!

convenient to beach and shops

Close to a range of beach options, view of the ocean with migrating whales within sight. all amenities provided. Quiet at night.

Cylinder sands

House was great good location. However we could get the dishwaser to work, not sure whats the go with that, and we found it odd that the upstairs tv didnt have the same things as the down stairs tv. Overall happy with the stay

Good beach break

Was a comfortable place. Didn’t have aircon in the living space and one of the queen rooms. Would have been so good if there was a beach umbrella to use. Beach was so close, but when you fly you can’t bring such things. Did have salt pepper, oil, and other handy things which was great

Great house in the perfect location

We had a wonderful time. The house is fantastic with views of the ocean. There’s also a deck in the back yard that looks over the top of the house out to the ocean and other islands. The house itself is well appointed although I do find it weird that there are 2 air con units for 2 small rooms downstairs, an air con units for one of the upstairs rooms but no air con in the living areas. It was ok though, the house can be opened up and it’s nice and breezy. The outdoor shower was a nice way to cool off when we couldn’t be bothered walking to the beach, which is only 2 minutes walk, directly across the road. I’ll definitely book that place again.

Brilliant Location

Stunning views and outdoor areas (+ BBQ), very clean and tidy. The house is easily accessible by public transport and only a short work to shops and < 300m from the water. Comfortable for 3 couples with free wifi.

We really enjoyed our stay at Cylinder sands. We were three couples but were unable to get a return barge on the Sunday to Cleveland So we rang Ray White and they suggested we catch the water taxi and bus and transferred our booking to Cylinder Sands We hopped of the bus and entered the property which was clean well equipped with surprisingly good views and so so central. Across the road to Cylinder, around the corner to Shops and Hotel WE saved on the barge. returned when we ready on Sunday arvo Great property and we have booked again for next year

Love Staying Here

We stay here every year as its so central to everything. This year the kids liked the free wi-fi, the husband the Nespresso machine and pods but I loved not having to bring linen and the beds made on arrival!! Thanks for another great stay!
