The location was amazing and the view from building B was spectacular. They refused to give us the codes until we were driving up which led to a lot of worry. We had no floor plan which may have helped us plan better figure out the sharing of bathrooms. 4 bedrooms share two bathrooms in Building B. The house is ill-equipped and many light bulbs are burned out in the ceiling. Bring garbage bags, paper towels, bath towels, toilet paper, shampoo, a bottle open, can opener, propane for grill, tongs, coffee filters, spices, paper cups, paper plates etc. Building A is all stairs and is meant for one family only even though there are three bedrooms. The houses are cluttered with decorative items that serve no purpose other than to get in the way and look good in the photos but are just looking to get broken especially if you have kids with you. The mattresses are worn and should be replaced. I would say the houses really shouldn't have more than 15 guests as it feels crowded even with that many with the design of the houses. The pool is great and pool deck is great. But at least two pieces of the deck furniture are broken. Again nothing beats being right on the beach but we are not sure if it's worth the price. Do not buy the weather insurance it's completely worthless even if a hurricane comes you won't get your money back as it has to be Biblical levels of rain to get your money back.

Great Family Getaway

This property was wonderful for our family! There was plenty of space for everyone in our group and the location was perfect!! It was directly on the beach, with beautiful sunset views over the ocean. The pool and spa were great as well, heated to a perfect temperature and a great design for those with young kids (ours are 2-9). The property felt private but still very close to everything with being more mid-island. The rental company was easy to work with and we had no issues during our stay. We would definitely stay here again if we return to the island!

Blue Horizon slice of Heaven

This house and property is absolutely amazing! Our family of 9 adults and 9 children ages 4-13 had fabulous time at this beach house! With 3 families and us grandparents, we each had plenty of room as we each had different floors to stay on. The only thing that would be helpful is if the full kitchen on the lower level of the 6 bedroom house would have a small oven or at least a stove top. Perhaps that would be more beneficial than a dishwasher. But we made it work. We stayed the last week of April and the weather was perfect the whole week. The beach has soft powdered sugar sand and shelling and sand castle building was a daily event! And the sunsets! No words to properly describe the sunsets! Of course the beach was the main event for this Midwest group, but the pool got plenty of use also. With a large house with great views, and a semi private beach, this is a lovely place for a family reunion!

Dream Week

We had 9 people, early 20s, ourselves (late 40s) and parents (70s). What an amazing week. The two units with the pool in between was so perfect. Great location right on the beach, private pool we spent hours in, and a great AMI location. The pictures don't do the location or property justice. Everything was working perfectly, the pool and spa were spotless, and the access and view of the beach (and sunset) were perfect. Thank you!!!

Lovely

Great trip and experience. The property was great for large group and gave just enough privacy yet togetherness. Will be back. I would like to make a couple recommendations: include more details on how the house recycles as it wasn’t clear to us. Create a document for guests to easily list any issues that might help the owner make site maintenance improvements.

Great house, great location, excellent service throughout stay. There were a couple of small issues, but property manager took care of them quickly. House could use a little overall Maintenance (ice machines, hot tub, etc.) but there will always be a little of that. Overall an excellent place to stay.

Second Time Around

We were at the Blue Horizon two years ago and just returned to Houston after our second visit. Incredible once again. Plenty of space for everyone, got really lucky with the weather as it was spectacular all week, beach was perfect. Had family and friends from OKC, NYC, Pittsburgh, Miami, Tampa, Little Rock. Great time.

Great place for families

Big house with beautiful view and lots of space for families! Nice backdrop for family photos. Maybe not as great for families of toddler children as there are many stairs to maneuver and tall furniture and glass decor. The private heated pool and hot tub was wonderful for kids to play in any time of day. Loved being right on the beach but this house is a bit noisy on the main island road and across from a gas station but then this did give easy access to stores/restaurants. There were several maintenance issues (dishwasher didn't work, microwave didn't work, door to go to pool came off track) so we wound up doing lots of dishes by hand on vacation. Maintenance guy was nice and did come mid-week and fix most of the issues except the dishwasher. Anna Maria Properties did a fantastic job communicating with us!

Awesome home

Minus a few issues with water heater and air conditioning the home was amazing. They did respond to the issues promptly. Know that when they say heated pool, you have zero control of the heat and it won’t ever go about 82.

This property is great for a family or combined families who have kids. 3 kids rooms to offer. Washer & Dryer in each unit; very helpful! It was a wonderful place to stay. We had four families staying at once. Lots of kids. Everyone loved it!!!
