Lack of Communication and Follow through

Leaky fridge, missing lightbulbs, hidden bedrooms. After finally finding the fourth bedroom we truly enjoyed our stay and Curacao the island. The resort complex, bakery and restaurants were great.The management however was average at best and after we fixed the leaky fridge ourselves we waited all week to not have a couple simple lightbulb replacements. The pool was doused with chemicals but never cleaned the pool nor iguana poop on the deck. Still waiting on replies from management for a pending refund going on a month later. Location great. Support not so much.

Beautiful home 3 rows from the sea

Wonderful stay in this lovely home for 4 adults. The place was hard to locate as there are no street names and the security gate personnel couldn’t clearly tell us where the lot number was. They should create a paper map for guests at the gate or the host could provide GPS coordinates to remedy. We primarily congregated on the main level patio and pool area when there. AC is only available in the bedrooms at no charge from 7PM-10AM. The two bedrooms in front of the pool share a jack and jill bathroom. The fourth bedroom on the side of house looked unfinished with some gym equipment, the washing machine and storage for cleaning crew.

Amazing Views

Just let me say, Million dollar view. House is extremely clean. Beautiful home. House was very hot when we got there due to house being closed up. Once we opened all the doors and windows the breeze started coming in.There is no AC in main part of house. AC is only in the bedrooms and only available from 7pm-10am. There is no AC in the bathrooms. Just mentioning this because it is very hot in Curacao. House is equipped with coffee maker and pots and pans. House is in a neighborhood with 24 hour security. You will need a rental car. We ordered pizza from the pizza restaurant on site. We did need to drive to it. Pizza was very good. We drove to a grocery store about 20 minutes away. Google maps seemed to work pretty well for us. The pool at the house was very refreshing and watching the boats go by was great. We had a few iguanas that seem to live on the side of the house. All in all, absolutely beautiful home.

WOULD RENT AGAIN

VILLA commands stunning ocean views from a mid level mountainside location w good trade winds. PROPERTY is clean, well-equipped, inviting. Private POOL is well sized, cleaned weekly. Exceptional and highly RESPONSIVE MGT TEAM available 24/7 via text and calls; quickly resolved multiple a/c & light replacements that were safety issues. In a GATED COMMUNITY w site security patrols the grounds 24/7.Owner has on site security cameras. CORAL ESTATES RESORT is a 1/2 mile walk downhill replete with pool, beach,dining, take-out. QUIET neighborhood. WIFI is solid and consistent. ONLY the master bedroom and main living area are on the main floor. Secondary bedrooms require access via steps either from the patio or car port. This also applies to the laundry room. If it rains be sure to have an umbrella to walk between floors. STEPS are constructed of tile and are very slippery. HYDRO is both 110 and 220 with both types of outlets in all rooms. No ceiling fan in the master; very small screened windows on two sides will not be cool during daytime hours when a/c is unavailable. SAFE holds passports and cash; not big enough to hold a tablet or computer SEATING is designed for appearance and not for comfort. This applies to all spaces. Most APPLIANCES are European. If not from NL it will require some patience to use the oven and the washer. There is a manual with highlighted instructions from the owners. SUMMARY: We highly recommend property & VanEngelenberg Management. We would rent again.

Great villa, awesome sunsets, perfect to relax & enjoy Curaçao.

The pictures described the property well, but it’s honestly much better seeing it in person. Coral Estates is a gated community with its own 3 restaurants and a decent beach (and a nice beach bar!) so you don’t have to go very far if you want to. However the location is convenient to explore the amazing beaches further on the west coast - it’s one great beach after another, we’ve been all over the Caribbean and some of these beaches are amongst the prettiest. You do need a car to make the best your stay. Lastly, the house is well designed and you feel like you live outdoors once you open the big sliding doors, and we never missed not having A/C in the main room because of the nice breeze always coming through…this was a non-issue. The place is also fairly quiet and peaceful, birds singing etc. in the morning and gorgeous sunsets to close the day. We would rent this house again, hopefully bringing our grown up kids or relatives with us.

Wow! What a wonderful home! Great layout! It has a fantastic view of the ocean with amazing sunsets. The well-equipped kitchen and BBQ grill make it easy to stay home and cook in. Several nice restaurants are nearby. All bedrooms have A/C. The private pool and various outdoor seating areas make it easy to hang out with friends or find a space for yourself. Great communications, great directions to the property. We absolutely loved our stay! One note is that you really need a car of you stay here...

Great property for 3 couples!

We had a great 21 day stay at Villa Sugarbird. Daily, our property contact, was great at responding to any questions or concerns we had during our stay. As there were 3 couples, the villa was well set up for each couple to have their own bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen was well appointed with dishes and pots and pans. The second (small) fridge was handy for keeping cool drinks handy on the lower level of the villa. The tile on the stairs is very slippery when wet, so renters need to be mindful when coming out of the pool or after a rain shower. Coral Estates is a favorite location for us and this villa was a perfect location for enjoying the breezes and evening sunsets.

Wonderful villa

Great experience! The villa was wonderful and coral estate was a great location. Some screens or mosquito nets for the bedrooms would be an excellent investment. Overall it is a top notch place to stay.
