"Very comfortable bed, clean room
We stayed for 2 nights. At check-in, we did not notice the sign in reception that you need to ask for a room refresh (before noon)
We needed clean cups, glasses, tbags, but we asked in the pub on the second day and all were provided.
The only downside is there isn’t really anywhere in the bathroom to dry towel on a two night stay, so maybe best to ask for refresh

"I was really looking forward to my stay at The Candlesticks. However as soon as I entered, I began to have my doubts. The bar area, where the owner received us, looked particularly shabby and it smelt musty. It was 3pm (an hour after checking-in should have started) and the room wasn't ready. It wasn't such a big deal, but it was another warning sign.
I was in a single room, which made a certain saying about a cat spring to mind. The bathroom was fine and the tea/coffee making facilities were...

"The breakfast was disappointing. Bread and croissants were dried up and stale. Too much was put out at the start - put less out and staff should monitor refilling as needed.
Parking was excellent which is a bonus in Stamford"
