Great location good for families

Overall the stay was good. The property manager responded quickly to issues (lock not working, kitchen trash not taken out). The layout is a bit odd as you need to walk through the bathroom to get to one of the bedrooms, but overall we made it work and it was comfortable for all of us (two families) to cohabitate. The yard and location are both stellar!

Location, location!

Great location! Easy walk to town but away enough to be nice and quiet at the house! Spacious and well outfitted, the house was great for our family of 4! Would visit again!

Experience was difficult with Turnkey as they cancelled reservations because they didn’t realize owner required 7 nights. I only booked 5 initially but got everything straighten out when I booked 7 nights

Convenient Location

Nice unit, clean with easy access to downtown. We had 2 small appliance issues that were quickly addressed. Bed size in what could be considered "children's" room could have been more clearly described. We enjoyed out rental.

Excellent Property

This was an excellent property and just as described in the listing. We came to Boothbay for a family vacation week in late July with my wife and three boys who are six and under. Perfect location--5 minute walk to town, spacious property with three good size bedrooms, excellent kitchen and all the necessities for a week stay with your family. My kids loved the loft. We will return to this property!

Great historic home, well furnished, clean, well stocked. Awesome location.

My family and I had a great time in Boothbay Harbor and we enjoyed staying at this house very much. It was well stocked because there was nothing we needed that wasn't there except for food. As an example, Jim provides both a gas and a charcoal grill. How cool is that? Jim, I have to say, is very accommodating and communicates quickly. At first when you book this place it seems automated, but believe me he's there for you when you need him. Back to the house. It's very clean, comfortable and homely. We only had a couple issues which didn't slow us down. 1) wifi was acting up, but not a big deal. It gave us an opportunity to realize we needed to get away from electronics and go into town for fun. 2) we didn't get to use the upstairs bathroom too much for showers because of the configuration. If you like baths it's perfect, but you'll have to shower downstairs. I really want to rate this house a 4.5 (no upstairs shower), but no way to do that here. Trust me when I say that you will enjoy your stay here. Make sure you raise the flag every morning and walk into town. Grab a few lobsters and head back for grilling. Cheers Jim! Many thanks. Looking forward to being back soon.

WONDERFUL GIRLS WEEKEND GET AWAY

Quaint New England cottage, plenty of space for the 4 of us , could have doubled that and still been comfortable. Excellent location within walking distance to town, and what a cute town to stroll around. Went to the botanical gardens, which was awesome, took the advise of your kindly neighbors to take the shuttle, all went well. would definitely contact you again for rental in another season to enjoy the seashore. Your home is very comfortable and inviting.

Great house, Great location

Our party of five through enjoyed our stay. We chose Boothbay Harbor for its location (easy striking distance from Portland) and were not disappointed. The town has a great vibe and we were able to enjoy the annual Harbor Fest over Labor Day weekend. The house was very roomy, with plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked several family meals. The location was perfect for walking into town--we were able to leave the cars behind and stroll to restaurants, shops etc. There are also several relatively easy hikes within a few minutes drive. Our hosts were gracious and friendly but not intrusive and we had ample privacy. Would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Lovely property and house!

We really enjoyed our time in this home, it is a home more than just a house. There is plenty of room for everyone, a well appointed kitchen with plenty of kitchen appliances. The room has a lovely breeze coming in from the bay and everything was clean! Even the windows, clean windows are a sign of a clean house. I would stay there again in a minute. We went for the clambake on Cabbage Island and that was a real treat, the shops in Boothbay Harbor are quite fun also.
