Our family had a great time on our stay. The house was in a beautiful, peaceful location and the interior was well appointed and kid friendly. We enjoyed sitting around the firepit and fishing in the community lake!

Our family group (adults and 3 younger children) had a long weekend stay and could not recommend this house more. The house was exactly as described and perfect for our needs. We did a lot of activities (Grandfather Mountain, Alpine rollercoaster, exploring Boone) which were all easily accessible from this location. We certainly enjoyed the firepit at the house and the wooded neighborhood was such a bonus! It was quiet and peaceful and we enjoyed evening strolls to the community lake. We never used the TV or multiple gaming systems but it was nice to know they were there in case of a rainy day. The host made himself available but they had thought of all the details we’d need so we never needed to reach out. If you are looking for a comfortable, relaxing home base while exploring the area, this should suit your needs.

I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay during my family’s trip to gawk at the stunning fall foliage. It’s a wonderful, very comfortable, and clean home with great amenities. The home was spacious enough for our family of 6, although it could easily accommodate more people. The downstairs bedroom with an en-suite full bathroom was convenient for my elderly parents. We absolutely loved all the beautiful trails available within the community as well as the lake. The location is perfect for drives up the Blue Ridge Parkway as well as quick trips to Blowing Rock and Boone. Very responsive and informative host. We were sad to leave this little piece of paradise! Highly recommend ++++

We had a fantastic stay. This property was perfect for us, my mother is in her late 70's and has limited mobility and she was able to access all common areas with little to no problem. The master downstairs and a second one upstairs and a second room with a queen made it perfect for more than one family to share. The property has everything that you would need. The location was very convenient for trips into Blowing Rock and the community lake was a great location for fishing and for the kids to run around. We have all talked about making this an annual trip when it is cooler so we can make use of the firepit and the outside fireplace.

My family came to the area for me to do a run over Grandfather Mountain and boy we couldn’t have found a better place for our family! We have little kids who love playing on trails and in water, both of which we could walk to from the doorstep. My parents and aunt and uncle came to see our kids and the home accommodated everyone very well, tough for 6 adults and 3 kids under 5. The community was quiet and friendly, and very convenient to everything we needed. I’ll just say Go Vols to close it out.

Great place when the weather is not raining! We had rain every day for 5 days straight. There is not much to do when it’s raining and we all got a little cranky. Not the owners fault but important to be aware of if the weather does not cooperate. Unfortunately, the weather did affect our overall experience and will probably not return. The bed situation was not ideal for our family and the bunk beds were not very comfortable. The Wi-Fi was spotty but I imagine that’s the way it is in the mountains. There was plenty of pots and pans but not very many mixing bowls. There is not a blender or hand mixer either. Also, we ran out of toilet paper and paper towels so bring extra. The outdoor fireplace was a nice touch.

Modern farmhouse style home with comfortable furnishings. Perfect floor plan for families. Peaceful surroundings and breathtaking Mountain views. Access to trails, babbling brooks and community lake. Close to Blowing Rock with shops, restaurants and playground. We had a wonderful time. Highly recommend this property!

Beautiful home! Great when vacationing with a large family or two families. Well appointed kitchen and comfy beds! Close to Sugar Mountain Resort and Grandfather Mountain. Would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend the cabin! We had 6 kids and 4 adults and the space, beds were perfect! And I have to say that the bedding, pillows were some of the most comfortable I have ever stayed on. And it was this was throughout the entire cabin-all beds! We loved the pard for the kids-they could run around, play, search for deer! We saw many deer just in the backyard, it was so cool to watch them. Beautiful! We enjoyed many firepit nights- firepit area was a great bonus! We cooked our thanksgiving meal at the cabin-kitchen was lacking some items but if you aren’t making a huge thanksgiving meal (we just grabbed casserole tins at Publix) you will be fine! Well stocked for your average meals. Location was great, close to town. And the WiFi, internet in house was great! Which is super hard to find in the mountains! Thank you Bill for opening up your cabin-we had a wonderful stay!

Beautiful home! We hope we can come back one day. Our trip was cut short due to an accident one of our granddaughters had. My one suggestion would be to have a waste basket in the master bath downstairs. It would be nice to have one in each of the bedrooms also.

This is the second time we have rented this house and it is a perfect mountain getaway. For summer or fall, the hiking trails, lake, and proximity to the town is perfect. This house is very well kept with everything you need ready to go when you get there. I can’t say enough about the owners and how helpful they are with anything you need. Highly recommend!

We stayed here for the month of July 2021. This is one of the best homes that we have ever rented in a spectacular neighborhood. The home is beautifully furnished with new, confortable beds, well equipped, clean and modern. Unlike many of the homes in the area it has a large, flat yard with a fire ring, where grandchildren can safely play and make s'mores .It is even equipped with a corn hole set. The lake at the Sweetgrass community is about a mile away and we spent lovely afternoons playing on the beach and enjoying the canoes and kayaks provided by the community. Sweetgrass is a few minutes from Julius Price Park and Moses Cone Park, which provided a tremendous selection of trails to hike. It was a perfect month!

The house was warm and wonderful, roomy enough for my kids and parents but cozy enough for us to all be together. The community was amazing, with miles of hiking trails and a private lake. And the owners could not have been more accessible and helpful - thank you!

We greatly enjoyed our stay. Beautiful community and easy access to property. We felt we almost were the only ones in the community as many of the neighboring properties were vacant. We absolutely loved the trials and creek access. House was very clean and nicely decorated.
