The hotel and room were comfortable but a few infrastructural glitches need to be fixed. We were disappointed that the airport transport was only between the hours of 2pm to 7pm. We enjoyed the breakfast. Members of staff were very pleasant. The views of the beach were magnificent. I enjoyed my stay and will return in the future

Nice beach view
The hotel is an old-fashion resort with a spectacular view of a big-waves' beach. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The food service is a little deficient. It's better to walk or take a car to go 1km heading the airport where there is a very decent and well served Irish-owned restaurant. Anyway my experience was good! People are very friendly though!!!

Great location
The stay with friends was great. The beach was fantastic, there was even signs of leather back turtles nesting on this beach. The location of the hotel right on the beach was great, the only damper on the stay was that the room ac was not working so great . there's room for improvement of the beach facilities. the carat sheds need redoing, they provide great shade from the tropical sun.

lindo lugar
es un hotel con mucho paisaje y con espacios para descansar cómodamente. El único pero es que no existe servicio de alimentación fuera de los horarios por ellos definidos.

Me pareció excelente el hotel aunque es viejo es bonito y tratan de mantenerlo agradable, es una buena relación precio valor,oí varios comentarios desfavorables del hotel pero la estancia en el mismo es muy agradable,

Buen hotel
Si bien el hotel luce de hace varios años atrás, en todo lugar está limpio y mantenido. Fue una estancia muy bonita y provechosa. La playa del hotel es muy bonita y casi no hay gente lo cual a mi me parece muy bueno. Cerca hay restaurantes bonitos, un pueblo con pequeñas tiendas en donde hacer mini mercados. Las personas fueron muy amables, nos ayudaron en todo lo que pedimos, nos dieron muy buenos consejos de paseos. Por otra parte, llegamos y la puerta de la habitación abría sin la tarjeta y la caja de seguridad no servia, pero tan pronto informamos en la recepción, lo solucionaron. El teléfono nunca sirvió y nunca pudimos conectar el teléfono celular al internet.

Website photos were deceiving. Very run down property outdated everything. We choose it based on location to the wedding we were attending. The pool was amazing and deep but tiles were missing and the swim up bar hasn’t been used in years… if you wanted a drink you walk up some stairs to the main bar. You can tell it used to be great. The hotel has the best beach right behind the property. The staff were friendly but not helpful after hours.. no ice or water available after 10 beautiful view from the patio with no patio furniture etc. I don’t think our floors were swept the entire stay. Sadly would not recommend.

The hotel was like a ghost ship, hardly any guests at all. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, no reflection on them but a very strange place to stay indeed seems like such a waste as it has potential and located on a nice beach in black rock.

Beach was amazing and fun for kids in the waves and there were beautiful sunsets! The room was very basic, but very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was more updated, and the shower was fantastic pressure. Gorgeous pool and lounging areas. Breakfast area was beautiful, and lots of locals foods, and also options for kids.

I stayed in my room for three days and I had to asked for my room to be cleaned. It took them almost the entire day to come clean and change linen. Cleanliness is essential and for that I would never go back to that hotel again. Terrible place

Check in and check out were easy. Room was decent. Pool was very enjoyable. Bartenders and drinks were excellent. Breakfast was not that great even though there was a large buffet. The food was not appetizing or tasty. Also not many options during the daytime so we left the hotel to get lunch and dinner. Hotel was quiet and staff friendly. I stayed here before and would stay again. Just know that you need to have a car to get around especially if you don’t like the hotel food and you want options. There’s a Pizza Boys close by and a great beachfront bar (Anchor Beach Bar) about 1 minute drive away from the hotel with nice food options. Other than that, I definitely recommend the accommodations.

For a safe, relaxing, quiet stay, Grafton is ideal. Hoping that it can return to its former glory in terms of amenities. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Overall it was good. Service was good and staff was very accommodating. Breakfast was amazing. Rooms and entire building need to be updated. It’s very dated. There is so much more that can be provided by this resort. Very good layout to have good entertainment and other services that visitors can enjoy.

The facility was clean, walking distance to the beach, the staff was helpful and friendly and the breakfast was good. Overall, very pleasant. The Wi-Fi was sketchy and the television channels could be upgraded.

Overall the stay at the property was great, the staff was pleasant and accommodating. We only used the restaurant facilities onsite for breakfast which was 10/10. And had dinner at Waves Rest on the beach, which was walking distance away. That was also pretty good. The property is a bit dated and needs some love, but that didn’t make the stay any less enjoyable for me. I chose the ocean view, which I didn’t regret at all. Black rock and environs is so scenic and there’s a lot of really nice beaches close by. Would definitely stay at Grafton again!

Oct 2023. This is my 2nd stay at Grafton. I returned especially because of the divine breakfast and their wonderful hospitality. Their Chef goes above and beyond to deliver the best meals. The rooms are in need of renovations , the linens and floors were clean with comfortable beds. The dining area is huge and also clean with a spectacular view . The pool is gorgeous and huge . Waves restaurant is also across the street. I would definitely visit again.
