Hidden gem! This is a fantastic property! Very clean, cozy and full of little details from the owner’s life. The view is perfection, especially when soaking in the hot tub! Close to skiing, local restaurants and shopping. Highly recommend!

This is not a VRBO, this is a labor of love. A mini-destination resort, the details and craftsmanship, big and small, that Randy has put into this place are phenomenal. From the in-suite sauna, the outside hot tub, the upscale appointments, the eclectic works of wall art and sculpture, the wonderfully equipped kitchen... an amazing experience. We will be back soon!!
When the weather permits, a wonderful indoor-outdoor hybrid
If you have work to do,,, a low-stress, contemplative and creative space
And if the work gets tedious, relax with a book from Randy's huge collection of classic tomes.

This property is a wonderful place to really feel one with nature. It's very quiet and serene, and yet only 3 miles to Black Hawk, 6 miles to Nederland, and 35 miles to Boulder. The home itself is very charming, clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Beautiful property! It has everything you could possibly need and then some! Stunning views and great proximity to the Rocky Mountains national park. The surrounding towns were so charming and full of history. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks Randy for opening your home!

Beautiful home inside and out. The views are incredible. Rooms are clean, well updated, and uniquely decorated. We spent a lot of time in the kitchen or in the living room with the whole front of the house opened up with the patio doors and garage door. Location is great, very centralized for all of our planned adventures. Will definitely be checking the availability to return.

My two daughters and I very much enjoyed our stay! The location is quiet, but easy access to Nederland and Golden State Park. We used the hot tub each day and appreciated that the coffee grinder was full and there were extra coffee beans in the freezer if needed. The beer on tap was a fun addition!

Beautiful cabin in the mountains. Very cozy, tastefully decorated, with wall to wall windows showcasing the surrounding forest. Great deck with clean hot tub. Fully stocked kitchen to cook, and the benefits of coffee and beer. Comfortable beds. Could not ask for more. About 10 min from town. Absolutely no awkwardness having the owner downstairs, and he was actually extremely helpful when we had an unexpected hailstorm that broke our windshield

Wow is all we can say! This property is more beautiful in person than it is in the pictures. The details, from interior decorating to the kitchen stocked well with quality cookware, are spot-on. We really enjoyed the hot tub for an early morning soak and sitting on the deck which affords views of the mountains and countryside. This time of year the hummingbirds were so prevalent that they often came right up to us! It is in a convenient location, not far from Boulder or Golden. We drove into Nederland and Blackhawk to eat and neither was a very far drive. One word about getting to the house - be prepared for a steep grade on a dirt/gravel road with moderate ruts.

We were visiting our son and daughter in law and planned a ski weekend. The house is very interesting and incredibly well appointed. Very comfortable beds, fabulous kitchen. Very close to Eldora. Randy was so easy to work with. You’ll love staying there

Gorgeous and Exactly as Described

Absolutely beautiful property and fully stocked for everything you could want to do. We were locals who just wanted a night away and this was beyond perfect. Host was amazingly kind and helpful. Do wish the stereo system was updated as it only takes CD's or an AUX cord but of all the things, that is hardly a complaint. We were able to watch our favorite show on the Apple TV, had gorgeous views off the back deck without a neighbor in sight, and the hot tub was absolutely serene. Would absolutely book again.

Mountain Chalet in the Sky

A warm, comfy, well put together home, over looking the forest.Hot tub, Sauna, Deep stand up bathtub, Home made beer in Kegerators ready and waiting to be poured (really good beer by the way :) Amazing to go to bed surrounded by forest and then waking up to blue skies and trees waiting to greet you. In our case...snow filled trees and snow fall. Magical!Randy, did an amazing job building this house. A lot of love went into it....we know that because we are home builders. Kudos to you Randy!We were on a 3 week ski vacation. This stay was one of five places we stayed. The other were ski in and ski out. All really nice condos. But, this was our favorite place to stay. It was just wonderful! It was a 20 minute drive to Eldora Ski Resort. It didn't matter because we always looked forward to coming home to this house.Randy was a perfect host...we never saw him but he was there if you ever needed him.Thank you, Randy * The King Family...from Malibu, Ca

Excellent stay in Unique Cabin

My husband and I had an amazing stay at Towering Pines. It truly is a mountain retreat! Well managed and clean. In fact, it’s probably the cleanest rental property we’ve ever stayed in! Very comfortable, relaxing and truly a getaway! We were able to enjoy nature and even had two bull moose walk in front of the cabin one evening! We loved the architecture, hot tub, and true uniqueness of this amazing property. We will definitely be back
