Amazing stay at Don’s place

We had an amazing stay at Don’s place. The outdoor areas are incredible and even better than the pictures. The wildlife, pool, ocean access—you can not ask for more. Don and Angie send out great recommendations and are happy to facilitate anything to make your stay even better. We took advantage of having the fridge stocked and booking a chef for a night. We had such a great time and are already looking forward to coming back in the future

Calming and beautiful

This is a truly exceptional place, with breathtaking views and a Zen-like interior space that will make you want to never leave. Although there are incredible beaches near-by, which we explored and it is a quick drive to fantastic restaurants, we found ourselves rarely wanting to leave the gorgeous space. Angie and Don are wonderful hosts, so responsive and friendly. We can’t recommend this place more strongly!

Fabulous Getaway!

My husband and I stayed here for a week to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. It was perfect! Don and Angie were wonderful hosts, the lodging was even better than the photos! It was much more spacious than we expected, and we enjoyed everything about it. Watching sunsets from the pool, feeding the birds and iguanas, snorkeling just off the property - this was the best snorkeling we experienced anywhere on the island! It was a fantastic, romantic, perfect week away for us, our first vacation without kids in over 24 years!

Amazing View!

This property hands down has one of the most amazing views! We loved exploring the island & then coming back to the house for some seclusion & peace. The views are spectacular & the sunsets were to die for! We loved ending our day in the pool with a cocktail. The birds that surround the property are gorgeous and we loved offering them treats in the feeder in the morning. Do not hesitate to book this place. Don & Angie are amazing hosts! Hope to be back on the island soon!

Paradise!

What an incredible stay we had! Swimming in the pool with hummingbirds feasting in the tree above us. Feeding the iguanas breakfast while I enjoyed my coffee by the pool. Showering outside the entire trip…. Cooking dinner and enjoying the sunset. We ate at e lanternu, Eetcafé de Buurvrouw, Kome & cascade rooftop in Willemstead. All incredible. We enjoyed every moment & hope to be back one day!

I can't say enough about our stay at Cas Pas. Like other reviews, my wife and I were amazed by the Caribbean view and the resort like setting. Host, Don was super helpful throughout the booking and stay, gave great recommendations and was responsive before and during the stay. Having a stocked fridge after a long day of travel was a very welcome service. We took Don’s recommendation and got a sunset massage from Evelyn, and it was a perfect close to the day.You won’t believe the quality of the reef and the amazing snorkeling you can access right from the cottage’s private ocean entry. Colorful fish, squid, and eels with a view of your cottage above. The direct access was so convenient that we only used the nearest beach private to the neighborhood once, but you also have access to a second private beach a short walk away. When not in the ocean, watching the day go by across the beautiful blue waters from the edge of the plunge pool, leading to beautiful sunset every evening was a wonderful way to pass time. Later in the evening, we loved turning off all the lights and gazing at the stars.Cas Pas was such a private getaway that it simply enabled true relaxation, and we spent nearly all your seven days there. While my wife will never say no to a beach vacation, they aren’t at the top of my list for travel. Cas Pas sets a new standard for a “beach” vacation and goes to the top of both our travel lists until we stay again.Thank you Don and Angie for being great hosts.

we've been to a lot of Caribbean properties but this was unique in it's ambiance. Our 45th anniversary turned into a 2nd honeymoon. There will be neighbors but not intrusive. Factor in a car rental expense but that's a good thing in Curacao-you are mid island away from the cruise crowd. The house had anything you can think of for food prep. Doing it again we'd stop at the big groceries in town & load up. Not impressed with some of the restaurants around except the King BBQ truck going into town.... KILLER good food cheap!

A piece of paradise in Curaçao!

Pictures don’t do this place justice, this place is incredible! Nestled right on the cliff overlooking the ocean, you cannot get a better view than this! Don and Angie we’re communicative both before and during our stay which helped so much with planning and helped us feel at ease and taken care of during our stay. When we booked the listing showed an outdoor bed which was changed to lounge chairs when we stayed, but the chairs were very comfortable and were perfect for watching the sunset and for stargazing. We spent a LOT more time at the property than we initially thought we would because it was the perfect home away from home for relaxing, cooking meals, and hanging out with the resident iguanas. We also snorkeled 3 days of our stay with beautiful coral just right off the beach at the side of the property. Cas Pas absolutely made our 6th wedding anniversary trip incredible, and if we are able to come back to Curaçao we will be staying again!

Absolute Beauty and Relaxation

This home is absolutely gorgeous. I'm going to sound like all the other reviews but as beautiful as the pictures are they simply don't do this place justice. My wife and I spent most of our honeymoon in Curacao at this wonderful beach front property. We spent our time snorkeling from the ocean access right on the property, laying out in the sun, and dipping into the pool when the sun got too hot. We absolutely loved watching the sunset over the ocean from the pool with a glass of wine, then waking up at dawn with an iced coffee and feeding the birds and iguanas on the lower deck. The only negative of our stay at Seaside Rest was as I said we spent "most" of our honeymoon on the island here. When planning I figured we'd stay here, which is about 30 minutes or so outside of Willemstad, then spend a couple days at a hotel in the city so we could explore the busier side of the island. My recommendation is don't do that. The city is plenty close where you can do a day trip or two and see everything there is to see, but you will always want to go back to Seaside it is just that special. Don and Angie are amazing hosts and though my wife and I have only been home a couple days, we absolutely can't wait to go back. If you are thinking about staying here, don't wait, just do it. I can guarantee you won't regret it!

Perfection, truly perfect

For a quiet or romantic getaway, the seclusion from society and inclusion in nature's beauty is unmatchable. Seriously, this place is hard to believe. Necessities and conveniences not far or hard to get to. Don & Angie are the most personable hosts one could ask for. Will be there for you as much as you want or need, but 100% solitude is what you'll get if that's what you want. Its really hard to describe in words how nice this place is, how well appointed and thought out it is, how beautifully decorated and constructed it is. For a small place, it feels huge, with more separate areas to hang out in, eat at, lounge in than you would expect. If this place is on your list, move it to the top. I have stayed at many many vrbo/airb&b places and they typically are a let down from the photos and descriptions. This place is the opposite; a true under-promise, over-deliver situation. Thanks to Don & Angie for sharing this amazing place with the world. And folks, have Eviline come make dinner for you. She is able to provide hard-to-find organic ingredients, fresh ingredients from her farmers and from her own garden. She has 30 years experience as a chef and make the most delicious dinner paired with wines, then serves you like you are in a restaurant while you watch the most beautiful sunsets. I can't say enough about this place and am feeling sad writing this because our trip is over. Go check it out and have the most relaxing time ever! Bon Bini !!!!!

Absolute Paradise!

Hard to imagine a better place to stay for us on the island. Angie was available for any issues we had. The views are unparalleled and the layout of the cottage was perfect. We missed having the outdoor bed but everything else made up for it. It was very hot during our stay but a simple dip in the pool was all the air conditioning needed during the day. The iguanas soon became our friends and we enjoyed waking up and feeding them on the lower deck from the pool. Cut up melon and grapes and they were very happy. Keep an eye in the tree above the pool as they love to climb up and eat the blossoms and sometimes they slip. Super funny. The birds were magical. Trupials and Bananquit that we also fed daily. A small plate of fruit and some fresh squeezed juice and we had our little zoo working. Felt very much like home for us and easily the hardest to say goodbye to. You soon discover why Curacao is rated so highly for diving and snorkeling. So many pics and videos including a special experience with a turtle not at piskadoo. Got video of an octopus just as it shot passed me and then landed down and changed. Beautiful. The island is easily drivable and beaches were just as described. Locals were nice and matter of fact. The sunsets were our TV at night and the stars made it hard to turn in. Every detail inside the home was appreciated. The artwork etc let you know the passion that went into this home. Will be back as soon as humanly possible.

Peaceful relaxation

Cas Pas is a wonderful place for peace and tranquillity. The cottage was everything Seaside Don described and extremely private even though it is in the middle of three cottages. Everything you will need to enjoy yourself is in the cottage. Waking up & going to sleep with ocean views is heaven. The blue waters are soothing to the soul. We enjoyed our mornings with the iguanas & bananaquit birds. Cooling off in the pool any time of the day is refreshing. We enjoyed adventuring out in the Banda Abou region and discovering all the little beaches. The best is just nextdoor at Cas Abou beach. We had shakes from the stand just south of Tera Cora a few times. The people are wonderful. We ate at VIP Grill food truck a couple of times. Taking in the little museums is a must to get to know some of the rich history of the island. Go to Christoffel Mountain-go early as Don says. Bring lots of water and refreshing snacks on the hike with you. And have more in the provided cooler in the car. Go to Shete Boca park on the eastern side and see the crashing waves along the cliffs. Go to Playa Forti and watch ( or join in) the cliff diving. Eat at the little restaurants. We thoroughly loved our stay at Cas Pas cottage and plan on returning. Thank you Don & Angie.

Private Relaxing Quiet Paradise

Waking up to the sound of the waves and hearing the beautiful song birds was a wonderful way to start the day. No matter what time of the day the views were amazing and watching the sunsets was equally beautiful from the lower deck. The pool was wonderful for a quick cool off. Great location to explore the North/West end of the island. The Cas Abou community small private beach was a bonus to be able to go for a swim and snorkel with an abundance of beautiful fish. Thank you Don and Angie, in the future we hope to be able to return!

No Better Place to Stay on the Island

The photos do not do it just, this cottage has all amenities needed for a luxury vacation. The “Barefoot Concierges” make planning a trip to Curaçao Island as comfortable and simple as humanly possible. It was our first trip here. We will be back to stay in this cottage again. We loved it!

A Feast For All The Senses

What can we say but…..WOW! Pictures online DOES NOT do this piece of paradise any justice whatsoever. We have traveled all over the world and have been to almost every Caribbean island and have yet to find anything that surpass Seaside at Curacåo. Don and Angie were fantastic hosts and it was, without a doubt, a home away from home. It literally hurts getting back on the plane for our return flight. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to stay at one of Seaside’s villas, you cannot be disappointed. Thank you thank you Don and Angie…cheers!

Views of paradise

Wow, just wow is the best description of this property. The view overlooking the Caribbean Sea is simply awe inspiring. My wife and I spent the majority of our week in Curacao at the villa. We enjoyed relaxing in the shade. We enjoyed feeding the birds each day and watching the iguanas soak up the sun. We found ourselves spending the early evenings in the pool watching the sunset. We visited Cas Abou beach for a great snorkel as well as snorkeling from the small beach right near the villa. We can’t say enough about how accommodating Don and Angie were during our stay. We were sent loads of info prior to our stay that helped with planning and they were always available to assist while we were there. I would strongly suggest you try the VIP BBQ grill truck on the road between Williamsted and the villa. It’s about a 15 minute drive from the cabin but we’ll worth the trip. We ended up getting the ribs on 3 different occasions they were so good. This property offered us the privacy we were seeking while still allowing us to be connected via WiFi. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property to any couple.

Pais paradise at Seaside Curacao

The cottage Pais is fantastic. The pictures posted only get you excited and then when you walk in and walk over to the edge and look you tell yourself this is what a vacation is suppose to be. I can not say enough about Don and Angie and how customer service driven they are. Any questions or problems are resolved on a prompt and attentive manner with your satisfaction the goal. I had major airline problems when i stayed with Seaside Curacao, emailed Don to keep him informed and it was never an issue. Picked up at the airport at 11:45 pm got to the cottage and he had an order of ribs in the fridge with some cold cerveza ready to go. WOW really can't ask for any better service. Rented the SUV from him for the week. His knowledge of the island and locations, shops or anything is truly top notch. Have stayed at many other destinations and always did villa or cottage rental and this service and accommodations are better than 5 star. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation with a gorgeous sunset Seaside Curacao is your only destination. Enjoy your vacations and have safe travels. Thanks a million Don and Angie your are great!!!!!

Transformational in every way!

If true rejuvenation is what you’re seeking, then look no further. From the moment you step into this Eden that Don has created, you will feel every muscle in your body relax. The view will mesmerize your senses such that any concern up to that point will be blown away by the trade winds. The beautiful outdoor lounging bed and the large plunge pool both at deck level will give you an idea of how special your holiday will be. The house itself is equipped with every convenience you can imagine. A five burner stove/oven is more than ample to prepare any meal but you may want to use the new gas grill as an option for more outdoor time. The spacious indoor shower provides a great ocean view as well but, again the outdoor shower is unbeatable for the same reason. The bedroom/living area is comfortable and beautifully decorated with artifacts from Don’s travels that each comes with a great backstory. The space is air-conditioned but we found the cross breeze much more refreshing. We found ourselves rising early, feeding our iguana and bird friends and planning our day. Getting to one of the beaches early is a good idea not only to beat any crowds but to get back to the house to enjoy the pool for the much hotter afternoon sun. Each night, we would venture to the lower deck to experience the incredible sunsets. This was our 5th experience renting from Don and we are already looking forward to the 6th. He and Angie have gone from excellent hosts to close friends. They are determined to see that your stay is flawless and you never want to leave. If possible, you should give yourself 2 weeks to fully experience the island, it’s varying beauty and it’s warm, friendly and peaceful people. We also highly recommend renting the house car from Don. You will certainly want it to bop around in and it could not be more convenient. Curacao and, particularly the Cas Abou area will give you a vacation like no other. Off the beaten path but not short on convenience. You, like us will want to return again and again and make this bucolic setting your new home away from home.
