I booked this for a quick getaway. Same day after reserving I reached out to ask about possible fees for an early check-in/late check-out. The response was swift letting me know that there would be an extra charge for that. The day before my check-in I received a message about how excitement for our arrival the next day, even sent house rules. The day of check-in I arrived and followed the instructions provided by the host. Per the instructions I found the lockbox. However, when I found the lockbox it was already open and the keys were missing. I immediately reached out to the host via the phone due to the fact of the keys missing. I reached her, and she said that the cleaners must still be inside the unit cleaning and that she would call them and have them bring me the keys. She also said she’d call me back. After about 20 minutes with no call back. I picked up my phone to call again, but instead got a message on the VRBO. The message said that someone was on their way to bring the keys to us and they apologized for the inconvenience. After 1.5hrs after check-in no one had arrived with keys. I reached out to see if someone was still coming and asked about compensation for the troubles. She said yes they were still coming. After almost 2 hours I got message saying they had to put someone else in our unit and sorry for double booking. Told me that my reservation would be canceled. They sent a Zelle with my refund, we had to find somewhere to else to stay at the last minute.
