We had an amazing little getaway for the family. I enjoyed my coffee out on the pier with the crisp morning air and listened to the seagulls sing. My kiddos loved fishing and crabbing from the pier. The Seamonkey Lodge had plenty of space and then some for our family of 5. Could have easily and comfortably fit another family or 2 . Thank you for sharing your home!

Wow just wow.. this place has great views.. awesome place. Enough beds for the whole family. The grandkids had a blast. The park across the street was beautiful and kids played a lot. Place was clean and we all loved it. Thank you again for a perfect spring break

We had a great stay here. We stayed a couple weeks after hurricane Beryl, the owners were very upfront and kept us up to date on repairs to the property. It is a beautiful home with room and beds to fit our whole family comfortably. Fully stockes with kitchen supplies we did not need to bring anything other than food.

Great family spot!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Sea Monkey Lodge. We’re a family with 5 kids below the age of 11 and it was perfect for us to have the large yard between the house and water. One of our kids is 10 months old and it was so nice having a high chair for her! They also had 2 pack & plays (we brought our own) and a baby swing on the swing set. Thank you for thinking of the babies!! The box of toys in the living room was a hit for our toddler boys. The swing set, tree swing, and sand box kept them entertained for hours! We fished from the dock, went to the beach one day which was so convenient to do, and ate at the Crab Trap (right down the road) - delicious and friendly wait staff. The home is in a quiet neighborhood, we felt safe the whole time. The home had everything we needed, was clean and comfortable, with plenty of room to spread out. Loved having dish and hand soap there for us already. We’ve stayed at many homes that did not provide that and it’s always something we forget to pack. Do bring mosquito spray for the evenings/nights and possibly ant repellent (we came across and few ant beds and treated them because we had young kids playing in the yard) Also had a water jug for us to use, so thoughtful! Communication with the host was easy and accessible! Very family and kid friendly place! Thank you for being great hosts! We will be back!

Can’t wait to go back!

Everything was perfect!! 11 people stayed with us and there was still so much space!! Our kids fished for hours on the dock and caught tons of crabs and fish! Carrie’s communication was fast and super helpful!

Spring Break Vacay

The house was perfect, clean and very well stocked. We had a great time fishing on the dock. Caught some flounder keepers. The dock was perfect for our boat. Check in and check out was very simple. The only issue we had was a neighbor complain to the property owner about our dogs barking. It’s sad to had a neighbor that puts a damper on such a short stay. The owner of the house handled the situation as did we. Communication with the owner was great.

Family Fishing Vacation

Eight people ages 7-83 all had a blast. Plenty of room inside for everyone to be able to spread out. The highlights by far were catching plenty of crabs for a meal every day and the two 25+ lb black drum we caught (all off the dock!) Easy drive to the beach and Dollar General. Nice dock space for our small center console, which provided more fishing fun in the creek and gulf. Excellent communication with the host as well. The only negative is one room’s bed was wobbly and not very comfortable, but that would not prevent us from renting again. We will be back!

Great location on the creek. Clean and well equipped Perfect for families. Amenities for children were great for outdoor play out of the sun. Great breeze under covered patio. pier perfect for fishing and crabbing. Caught at least a dozen crabs. Would love to rent again!!!!

Fishing trip

Went for the fish and caught plenty of small ones. The crabbing was great - two dozen caught right from the backyard. There were minor issues - some expected (mosquitos & wasps galore), some unexpected (dirty refrigerator, issue w/ the pier lights) - but the owners were prompt to respond and troubleshoot when needed. Overall a great property - 4.5 out of 5 stars.

The Perfect getaway!

The Sea Monkey was the perfect place for our large family. There was plenty of space for everyone. Our younger kids loved the beds upstairs. The playset and sandbox were perfect for the grandkids. We have stayed at several places in Sargent and this one is by far our favorite. There was something to do for everyone and no one was piled on top of each other. The house was stocked with everything you need. We will definitely be back here in the future. Thanks so much for hosting us.

Great family weekend

We had such a wonderful time! The property is just as described and the owners have generously thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. The loft room upstairs was the best ever for our littles to have their cousin sleepovers! We loved it and will be back again!

Great Location on Caney Creek

Our extended family had an amazing stay at the Sea Monkey Lodge. The property was exactly as advertised, well kept, and clean on arrival. Highlights of the property include the upstairs bunk room for the kiddos, the back living room area, back porch, and the huge yard bordering on Caney Creek complete with dock for fishing. Awesome play set for the kiddos as well to keep them busy while the adults relax. Carrie was very nice and helpful with excellent communication. We would definitely stay again.

Family Getaway

This property was everything we were looking for in a vacation home. So peaceful and serine. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out. I loved that the kitchen/dinning and living room were separate and you could close a door between the two if the guys were in the living room and girls in the kitchen/dinning visiting . This place is not only kid friendly but pet friendly as well . We will definitely be back for another stay
