Very Zen

The place was very clean. The decorations were very nice. The place lives up to the name Zen Retreat. If you are looking to get away from it all this is the place to go. Very peaceful. Would definitely stay here again.

Great weekend getaway!

We absolutely loved this little above-garage apartment for our weekend getaway in Bastrop! Check-in was super easy and we took full advantage of all the restaurant and activity recommendations from the host. We brought our dogs and they loved exploring the property with us and sitting out on the patio watching the sunset. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an easy-going weekend away!

Zen River

My husband and I enjoyed a long weekend in Bastrop area. At the cozy guest house we enjoyed being just outside of town right by the River. At night we could see so many stars! We also brought our cat who enjoyed being with us as well. Lots to explore in the area and parking was never a problem. Thank you for a nice get away.

Perfect

The River Nook was exactly what we were looking for to pass a long weekend. It was just right for two people and a small dog. It is so peaceful and right on the river, but also close enough to town to go shopping or out to eat. We spent two days fishing at the property's little pier and caught perch and one small bass. The nook was very clean and the sheets on the bed are the softest I've ever slept on We also met Andy and he is so friendly. I would definitely stay here again!

It’s a nicely appointed one room apartment over the garage of the main house so be prepared to climb the stairs. The river is right there behind the property. A ramp for canoes and docks and decks for sitting or fishing make it nice.

On the river , Bastrop Texas is one of the finest old towns in Texas ...grey restaurants .

My husband and I had short but lovely stay at this property. It's tucked away in a quiet, peaceful are yet still conveniently close to town, making it the perfect balance of seclusion and accessibility. Definitely check out the back yard and river. The unit was comfortable and well-equipped for a relaxing getaway. Andy, the host, was very responsive and helpful. He answered all our questions and concerns promptly and made sure we had everything we needed. We would stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing escape.

At the Hide Away

My wife and I really enjoyed out stay. I think it would have been even better if we had been there during Spring or early Fall. The room was cozy for the two of us and we particularly liked the location. I think some may not, but we liked it being out-of-the way and a little secluded. Kind of felt like we would be coming home after a day out. I definitely recommend this place for a relaxing, low key vacation.

Great time for valentine's weekend with the wifey. Perfect getaway with nice accommodations and fishing on the river. We were in route to arrive a little early and Andy allowed us to check in when we got there which was about an hour early so we were greatful for that but then we were trying to get the tv to work and it wouldn't. Andy came right over and tried to resolve the issue but we finally figured out it was not working because we were early and it runs on actual check in time so it will not work until 4pm. Note to others if you arrive early please dont bother that nice man like i did for the tv not working. Just wait till 4pm. Haha! Thank you Andy, we had a blast!

The whole stay was just what we needed there were some issues as there was a green lizard in the house and the hidden pet fees. But other then that we had an amazing stay
