Our stay at bayou life was nothing short of amazing. The house is beautiful, roomy and a quiet location to just unwind and enjoy the simple life. The owners are great folks with many suggestions of places to eat great food and activities to explore the bayou. Fishing is top notch we filled coolers with lots of nice fish. Mr. Richard's crab farm is a must see we really enjoyed visiting him and learning what it takes to get soft crabs to the table. We will definitely be back to stay at bayou life. Thank you for sharing this incredible place with our family

Quiet and enjoyable

The neighborhood was great. We really enjoyed our stay. Everything recommended was fun to do. The only thing that we would have changed , we wish we had more time to stay and do more things in the area. Within an hour of the house there is probably a months worth of things to see and do. And to try all the food around is impossible.

A great place on the bayou!

My oldest son wanted to come fishing for his bachelor party weekend. Although the fishing was difficult due to weather, the house was very comfortable and exactly as described. The guys tried the crab traps, fished, and kayaked in the bayou. It was comfortable for everyone to stay and enjoy some guy time together. Thank you for sharing your house with us.

Great Choice

House was peefect for our Bayou experience. House has everything you need, just bring the groceries and detergents for laundry. Beds are comfy and the house is roomy with large bedrooms. We caught tons of fish and 5 crabs(just wanted to try it). Host was awesome, he checked in with us to make sure everything was great and even gave us local shrimp which were the best we have EVER had..

Fish Haven

The house is in a great location, in a quiet neighborhood, and less than 10 minutes away from grocery shopping. Morgan is an exceptional host. He connected us with a fishing charter captain who picked us up right from the dock of which has good fishing. We will definitely make this property our go to spot in Barataria in the future.

Great little Jem.

Pros-House is great. Beds, pillows, sheets comfortable. Kitchen well stocked with every tool you might need. Location is nice tucket away from busy area but close enough to get to it really quick. Host is great at answering questions or helping with suggestions in the area. Cons-while house has lots of beds there really isn’t enough glass wear or plates for large group. Also seats in main area are also not enough for large groups. Kitchen table is very high and has tall bar stools. Looks nice but not very practical.

Week of relaxation

My family and I had a great time at the house. It had everything we needed. It was our home away from home. It wasn't too far from the city and had lots of things to do in the area. I would recommend. We enjoyed our time. Host was attentive and responded to messages timely. We would go back again for another stay.

The property was nice. The fishing was slow but overall it was good. Bring stuff like dishwasher pods. Would recomend if you want a quiet place with gorgeous sunrises

We will book again!

This house is perfect and Morgan was a wonderful host. Our plan was to bring our boat for a short fishing trip, but our boat broke down right before our visit. I mentioned it to Morgan and he offered to reach out to Big Dog Charters, I'm so thankful that they were able to accommodate our group and we fished all day! We will certainly be booking again in the near future.

Paradise!

Fishing Fun!

We had a blast staying here! The neighbor was really nice and taught us some tricks to fishing this water. We caught Drum fish, Alligator Gar, Sting Ray, crabs from the dock!

Quiet fishing town

The house was in a great location for fishing and within 30 minutes you could be on Bourbon Street. We loved fishing off the dock! We caught countless fish and crab and the enjoyed eating them too. The beds were comfy and having a full kitchen made cooking breakfast and fresh fish easy. We loved the grill and had a fire every night outside. We definitely used lots of mosquito/bug spray early in the morning and at dusk. The views were perfect and the owner communicated frequently. We hope to come back.

Bayou Bachelor Party

Morgan was an excellent host and made this trip super enjoyable and easy. The property itself was in immaculate condition and the extra amenities (boiling pot, crab traps, fishing poles, kayaks etc) were an added bonus that made the trip easier (less to bring, more to enjoy!). When we inquired about acquiring shrimp, Morgan was quick to respond and set that up. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to relax on the Bayou!
