The location is fabulous. The views from the apartment are spectacular as it is above a rocky beach (accessible by stairs) and overlooks the bay where the ferry’s come and go. We took brisk morning walks and could have easily walked to get coffee and back (but didn’t because of our other plans).

Awesome view, nice location near Winslow, quiet and serene. Would recommend, particularly for a couple! My husband and I stayed for a night while my parents babysat. The view was beautiful, and I loved watching the ferries come and go. It was peaceful, with birdsong during the day. We enjoyed the short drive into town. The host provides very detailed directions, so we found the house without any problems, even though we arrived after dark. It was a little chilly at first, but there are multiple wall units and space heaters, so we quickly warmed up. Plus there are throw blankets. I imagine in the summer it’s pleasantly cool. The bed is comfortable and the hot water works. Check-in and check-out are very simple. It’s a good find!

This is a lovely place overlooking the water with views of the mountains and sound. Great to be able to walk out the door, down stairs and be on the beach. Nicely appointed suite as well.

What a lovely space to relax and enjoy. The views were beautiful. We enjoyed a fire in the fire pit our last night as we brought in the New Year..The owners were kind and respectful to work with. If you like fish and chips don't miss out. Proper fish is delicious. We'd love to return for another visit. Thank you for providing such a nice place to enjoy Bainbridge.

Quaint place with details thought about for guests. A unique and relaxing view of the bay with ferry boats passing by the main rooms making for a fun image through the windows.Was pleased to have a full kitchen to cook dinner. Dishes do need to be washed by hand. K ow that owners are upstairs so there is periodic noise but 90% quiet. Some items such as were getting worn. Nonetheless, it was part of the ambiance of the home. It was a darling place, with a wonderful patio, and close to downtown and fun sites.

This “Abode by the sea” was a GEM! Arriving was nice and easy, and the instructions on parking left by the owners was very easy to understand and was much appreciated as this home has a shared driveway. Accessing the home was easy as well, as they also left instructions on how to reach the rental entrance, as well as how to enter and connect to their WIFI. The entire home was SO warm and cozy! It felt like a little cottage! No harsh lighting, no crazy stark white walls! It was so easy to make ourselves at home! The kitchen was fully stocked, they provided SO many bathroom toiletries that I also regret packing my own, and they had anything and everything you could think of available for use! The view…let me just tell you I will NEVER ever experience a more beautiful view! If you’re a Ferry lover like myself, watching it go in and out of the harbor is spectacular! I can’t wait to come back to this home. I’ll be counting down the days!!

This property is even nicer than we anticipated. Everything feels spacious and lovely. The decor is attractive and welcoming. The kitchen has a great number of plates/bowls, and excellent pans.The bed was quite comfortable.The view is what sets this over the top. Amazing!! Such beauty gave us such joy everyone we looked out the window or went out on the property.We took a great walk which was well directed by the information left by owners. It was just lovely.We will definitely be back if we are back in this area.

The Abode On the Sea is very charming. The bed was especially comfortable and the kitchen very well equipped. The view is spectacular! I especially appreciate the hot water on demand and great water pressure. The abode is very accessible to the lovely town of Winslow/Bainbridge Ferry and other attractions like several beaches, the Grand Forest and a quick drive to the Rolling Bay Area and Bloedel Reserve (a must see natural delight). We highly recommend this delightful abode.

We loved our stay - great neighborhood and easy to get to all parts of the island. Space is good for 2 people and views were amazing - you can almost reach out and touch the ferries! Plenty of towels (most were super soft, too!) and adequate kitchen supplies. Owners super friendly. To make the property more accessible, I suggest updating the handrail on the steps leading down to the property to go all the way down/including last step and to refinish to avoid splinters from the wood. A handbar and non-slip mat in the bathtub/shower would also make guests feel safer. And note short people may have a tough time, as the bowls, etc in the cabinets are out of reach, and the bed is super tall, so a short stepstool would be handy. Also recommend 2-3 ice trays for the freezer vs just 1. But those are just minor inconveniences - we loved our stay and would return in a heartbeat!Favorite restaurants included Villa Rosa (make reservations), Proper Fish and Sweet Dahlia Baking (ginger molasses cookie was amazing).

We had a great visit to Bainbridge Island and Seattle. No complaints about the house. You responded immediately when told about the shower. We did have some concerns about the wooden stairs leading to the beach. There is a section that is quite scary due to the angle of the stairs- beginning to lean way over. Also the “beach” area was in poor shape. It didn’t look like anyone had been down there in a very long time. Weeds, huge pieces of plastic, just generally not inviting and not as described. Perhaps most people staying don’t care to go down there? I think you should have it looked at and perhaps cleaned up a bit.

We enjoyed our stay very much, the apartment was clean and well stocked with all the essentials. The garden was stunning and we could see both the sunrise and sunset. The pebble beach was down a steep set of stairs which led through an arbor and opened up to a beautiful view of the water! We would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed 3 nights on Bainbridge Island. The apartment was really quiet and private, the view of the canal was beautiful. It had everything my son and I needed to make small meals and to relax and enjoy our stay. The owner was easy to get a hold of if needed and very responsive.
