Needs better management

The location was GREAT! Very close to everything in Auburn (the university, restaurants, church). We would have come back many times because of the location; HOWEVER, the cleanliness and maintenance is very lacking. Upon driving up, the yard was very overgrown, trash was overflowing from the trash receptacle, and the front porch was dirty with lawn debris, dead bugs and spiders webs everywhere. The back deck was no better with old leaves everywhere. The grill was broken with the bottom hanging down. The inside was clean on the surface, but there were cobwebs in the corners of the rooms, scuff marks on several walls, towels hanging in the master bath were wrinkled and appeared dirty (so I ended up doing a load of towels upon our arrival; sadly half of the towels provided had permanent stains and need replacing), dishes were still in the dishwasher - if I am paying a cleaning fee, I expect the house to be clean and dishes to be put up, ready for our family to enjoy our vacation! Our code provided to enter the house didn't work. The property management was prompt when I called and able to get us into the house at that same time... apparently the code didn't get "updated" when the cleaning company was there (maybe because no one had recently cleaned). The master closet was locked (I guess that was the owners closet).. that is very inconvenient for your guest as most that are using the house will be using the master room. Emails to the management co. were never replied to.

Great Auburn Home

We enjoyed our stay here very much. There were a few small hiccups but the property mangers were very helpful and made everything right. Home was very clean and the setting is very quiet and peaceful.

Good property. Could be great.

House was as pictured. Nice property. Saw deer several times which was a plus. Nice showers, comfortable beds. With a few more things having a little attention, would be great. Door code didn’t work upon arrival, but did get a quick response. Garbage can full prior to arrival. TWO bath cloths in entire house. Some light bulbs out, coffee filter had grounds in it. Dishwasher did not get emptied from previous tenants. Loved the screened in back porch. Would stay again but would pack extra linens.

Auburn/Ole Miss football weekend with friends

Loved the place overall but never used the room with bunk beds since it was unclear that it was a whole separate area more suitable for young children. Loved the outdoor screened in porch! Check in and out not flexible … we asked if we could get in an hour earlier on Friday afternoon at 2 and they said yes for $150! Lol no thanks! Not enough garbage bags or toilet paper and no K cups or anything welcoming

Cute house with everything, near the State Park

Super location and house near the state park. The house was just what we needed for 6 adults and a toddler. It had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The directions were excellent and the house was much more updated than we anticipated. It has a very well equipped kitchen and the master bedroom was very nice. The only drawback we had was a lack of closet space (we were attending a wedding). But that is not a big deal. We spent most of our time on the screen porch, which was just ideal for hanging out with the family. It is less than a mile from the State Park and less than 4 miles from Buc-ees, which was also a lot of fun. We recommend the city park which was euphoria for our toddler. We would definitely stay here again.

Our rental is exactly as you see it in the photos. Olivia catered to all our needs with birthday, graduation , snack, champagne and chef package. Exceptional customer service. We will be back soon. War Eagle !

Family visit

We had a great time staying at this house to visit family. The perfect house close to everything. Super clean, great appliances, comfortable beds, everything updated, beautiful screened in porch. Couldn’t have been better!

Great Hideaway in the Woods with Convenient Access to AU & Opelika

Overall the house was perfect for what we needed. It had plenty of beds, bathrooms, bathroom towels & seating areas. The beds were extremely comfortable with crisp sheets & plump pillows. The forest view from the screened in back porch was absolutely stunning! It was exactly as described and one of the main reasons we booked the house. With all of that being said, there were several things that we were disappointed with upon our arrival and stay. It looked like the house wasn’t cleaned at all prior to our arrival. All furniture surfaces were dusty in every room. The refrigerator shelves were sticky and dirty. The Keurig had a used pod in it and dried coffee stains running down the machine and cup pad. The master shower had a large spider web and live spider in the bottom right side. The floors in the whole house were dusty and had sporadic dried leaves everywhere. The rolls of toilet paper provided were unusable since they had been wet somehow. I honestly feel like the house wasn’t cleaned or at least freshened prior to our arrival. The other issue we had with 6 people staying there was the hot water heater. With 6 people needing to shower, the hot water ran out after the third person so the other showers were cold or you didn’t shower at all. On an accessibility issue, a handrail would be helpful for the front porch stairs since we had our elderly moms with us for our sons AU graduation.

Great football stay

Stayed with 5 friends at Edge of the Woods for the PSU football game. The house was clean, beds were comfortable, and the screened in porch was a great place to hang out. We would definitely come back if we find ourselves in the Auburn area again.
