So Bad We Left Early
As seasoned time-share and vacation rental users, we were highly dissatisfied with the condition of this property. I will give a few objective examples (of which I have photos):
-In most places the exterior decking is completely worn to the point that the nail heads are above the level of the wood. Absolutely a hazard.
-Some of the kitchen drawers and cabinets do not work well properly due to bad rollers or broken/loose hinges.
-The carpets in the dining room and living room are dirty with some staining.
-The front and rear doors do not close easily and must be jammed shut
-Even with the rear door shut there is air gap almost completely around the perimeter
-The front storm door has no latch and cannot shut properly
-The toilet seat is so old that the staining has discolored it.
-The bathmat is filthy and worn.
-The fan in the bathroom did not function. With several adults using one tiny bathroom and no way to open the window, this was unpleasant, at best.
-There is an old broken heater in the wall of the bathroom. Besides being an eye sore and dirty, is a hazard to small children.
-Unlike the pictures shown, the upper deck furniture was in very poor condition. One lounge has mold stains. The other had a badly torn cushion, and the sofa rotted at the frame.
-There is no beach caddy available even though advertised as such.
There was nothing “historic” about this place. It needs serious upgrading/renovation. The interior is cluttered with dingy furniture and knick-knacks.
