I really try not to do this, seeing this is how people earn money. At the same time, I also work hard to plan trips and vacation and expect better than this.Lets start with check in. I arrive to the front desk at 3:53. To be told to have a seat our reservation will not show up in system until 4. Go back up to frint desk at 4, told reservation is not in system and to contact host. After multiple calls, texts, messages on vrbo, i finally get a response 45 minutes later. Reasoning was the host was picking his nephew up from school. Just not professional especially when you call the phone it goes straight to voicemail.So now the room. We open the door and the room smelled like what i can only describe as human. At first glance it seemed almost like pics in description until you start roaming the condo. The light switches are filthy, rips in the screen in balcony, just an overwhelming feeling of uncleanliness in the air. Then my son goes to room and i hear him say “they didnt even make the bed”. I proceed to the room to find the bed was unclean and slept in. Then i check bathroom, there was literally number 2 stains in the toilet. So i immediately contact host. I tell him issues with bed and bathroom and his reply was shocking. He said “but is it clean otherwise?” Needless to say i was not staying there. The only right thing this host did was cancel my booking and refund the money, minus 25 dollars but at this point i just wanted to be done with it.
