Aframe cabin in the woods #2

  • 7 miles to Ohio University, cozy and secluded cabin on private road. Renovated in 2019 our 2 bedroom cabin has 4 porches with great country views. The bedrooms are each furnished with a king size bed. Each bedroom has access to a personal porch. To access the bedrooms guests must walk up steep stairs. We offer wifi internet and a smart TV for entertainment, bluetooth speaker, preloaded super Nintendo also provided. The cabin has a washer and dryer, a fairly well equipped kitchen and a 3 piece bathroom with shower. The yard is great for star gazing and has a firepit, wood provided upon request. WE ARE NOT A BUG FREE ENVIRONMENT. We clean like crazy and spray regularly but the cabin has been in the woods for 30 plus years. I promise you will see ladybugs, stinkbugs, maybe a wasp, or anything else that is in nature..

Cozy cabin in the woods where we enjoyed a beautiful clear sky night with excellent star gazing. Owners were great communicators, beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the decks. Close enough to town to get there quickly, but away from that hustle and bustle.Thank you!Erin and Scott

Nice quiet place close to Athens

Nice little place short drive to Athens. Beautiful views and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Good option if visiting Ohio U or surrounding area. Short drive back to town.

We love the solitude and the king size beds, temperature control in each room, 4 porches to choose from all excellent for relaxing and enjoying the sights and sounds of nature, many accommodations! Great for any Get-A-Way! Slightly difficult parking for larger motorcycles or the newer motorcycle rider. 👍

We really liked the cabin but it wasnt exactly the same as the pictures. I hope they fix the floor before the next people rent it. They said they had an issue with the water and tried to fix it and it before we got there. The floor was very soft and felt like it would fall through as we stepped on it. I wish they would have called and explained this before we arrived. We could have chosen another place. I kinda felt like they put our safety in jeopardy so they didnt loose the reservation. This is just one thing that was wrong. Unfortuneately we will look elsewhere next time we come to the area.

My athens adventure

I had an awesome experience. Absolutely loved the cabin. Upper and lower decks gave you an amazing view. The property had all of the amenities necessary. It was comfortable and inviting. Would definitely come back with my family.

Wonderful hosts

Good cabin with full kitchen, utensils, a refrigerator/freezer that works well; and decent heating (I was there in the winter). Has very nice decks. I watched sunrise and sunset from the south-facing one. Note that the bathroom is downstairs and the bedrooms are upstairs.

Great stay!

Everything was as expected and we had a great stay! The views around the cabin were spectacular and we enjoyed sitting around the fire at night. I would definitely stay again!

Country setting

Great romantic getaway. About 90 minutes from Columbus, OH. We enjoyed our stay here with our 2 dogs. TV consisted of Hulu or Netflix (owners account). 4 porches to relax, firepit (logs provided) kindling easily found around the edge of yard. The Bush's were great Hosts and quickly responded to our requests.

The cabin was absolutely superb. It’s was nestled right in the middle of the woods and was so peaceful. The owners provided a small gift basket that was waiting for me when I arrived. The beds were super comfortable and for the price you can’t beat how nice the cabin itself was. There was tons of wildlife around and very little noise. I absolutely will be booking again for this location

Great Getaway

We really enjoyed our time at this rustic getaway. Location was quiet, comfortable, and private. Amazing balconies and birding. This place had what we needed including firewood and eggs. It was clean, could have been a little cleaner, but it didn’t detract from a nice weekend. Close to Strouds Run and downtown Athens. Hosts were always ahead on communication and we would stay here again.

Awesome A-frame

A comfy, get-away cabin in the Athens area. There’s a lot of hiking, and a big open space for a bonfire. Plenty of firewood was delivered by the owner. Would rent again.

OU Graduation weekend

Great cabin about 15 minutes away from downtown Athens. It was so nice sitting on the decks looking out over the property. The beds were so comfy! Communication was wonderful and it was nice to be able to bring our dog!
