"I was really looking forward to my stay at The Candlesticks. However as soon as I entered, I began to have my doubts. The bar area, where the owner received us, looked particularly shabby and it smelt musty. It was 3pm (an hour after checking-in should have started) and the room wasn't ready. It wasn't such a big deal, but it was another warning sign. I was in a single room, which made a certain saying about a cat spring to mind. "Great communication from host on how to check in. Very clean and modern room, complimentary coffee/tea/sugar as well as some bikkies. Felt very secure as there are 2 doors that need a code just to get into the building. Bed and pillows were comfy and a great bathroom with lots of space. Only downside is that it's not very sound proof, you can hear whenever someone enters the hall or outside, but other than that, highly recommended!"
