Room was clean bed comfortable nice fluffy towels parking was good wi fi was good we had 2 teabags in the room for 2 night stay when we asked for more was offered 2 only had to ask could we have 2 more some staff were friendly others a bit miserable.

Room was lovely as were staff, the only slight down side was the bits of black mould around the shower tray seal and the soap dish by the wash basin, really needed a good clean. On the whole lovely hotel in good location, just needed a little attention to detail in housekeeping

The staff were polite on arrival and departure. Room was nice and bed very comfortable. Only negative was that there was nowhere to get an evening meal or breakfast.

Room took over 4 hours to heat up, went to bed in the end (once it warmed up at 40° Cit could be turned down to 27°C which was comfortable for the rest of the stay (2 night stay). Put the trouser press on to help heat up (helped a little) Towel rail in bathroom didn’t work at all and no further heating in there. Carpets a bit threadbare in places too. Staff were nice and friendly.

Check was smooth and easy. Room was stone cold on arrival. No heating on at all and bathroom radiator would not turn on. Room heated up after about an hour of having the panel heater on however maintenances to be called to resolve the issue in the bathroom. An extra duvet was requested that did not arrive until a second request was made for it. Bed was lovely and large however could have had a firmer mattress for my liking. Overall a pleasant room for the cost.

The staffs are lovely, Room are neglected, my bed was torn in places. The one coffee mug, not cleaned properly, even one of the bed was made properly. Toilet is uncomfortable. Location is great, for exploring.

Receptionist polite and cheerful; she quickly sorted out my tv remote (batteries failing). Room was clean but "facilities" are dated: large crack in wash basin, plug showing staining/corrosion as did the soap holder. Both need replacing as they look cheap and suggest that senior management don't care about basic standards. Steam clearly showed that the shower's glass panel had not been properly cleaned. I couldn't adjust the temperature control valve on the shower. It was just about bearable after I had reduced the flow pressure. These things need to be regularly checked too. I'm not expecting the Ritz with the price I paid but basic upkeep of "worn out" parts is essential.

Upon arrival on the 30th of October, we immediately noticed that the room was unsanitary and in an unacceptable condition. The bedclothes and sheets had clearly not been changed prior to our arrival this was due to the smell of perfume on areas of the bed sheets and also there was a strong, unpleasant smell throughout the room. We raised this issue with the night porter, who assured us that housekeeping would address it the following morning. Unfortunately, we were unable to sleep that night due to the state of the bed and the condition of the room.The condition of the duvet, pillows and mattress are dirty and worn well below standards for a chargeable hotel stay and fee. We were also with a large group who booked and prior to there arrival had to change room 3 times before giving the a room with a unsanitary toilet as there was faeces left and bed was unmade the same reasoning was giving from the night porter/receptionist that house keeping would come in the morning to address the matter.In addition, the bathroom side panel was coming away from the shower, with visible scum present, and the shower hose was not properly fitted, detaching whenever the shower was turned on. The overall condition of the room was very dated and, in my opinion, uninhabitable.Given these issues, we decided to depart on the morning of 31st October, two days earlier than planned, and informed your staff of the situation at checkout. We had no choice but to secure alternative accommodation ourselves.
