Get together family time!

I love this Aptos house. We had rented there before. There is plenty of room; very quiet area and not far from the beach. It feels like "home" when we visit. We had a great stay!!!

Comfortable and private

We very much enjoyed our stay at this location. 3 level Secluded bedrooms away from dining and living area. Kitchen is a little small but adequate. Dining area was the best with a view of the ocean. Downstairs bedrooms were very roomy and each had balconies. Would stay there again!🥂🙂

Tolles Haus mit viel Platz - eignet sich auch super für 2 Familien Wunderbare Aussicht und schöne Balkone. Gute Küche - alles da, was man so braucht. Alles war sehr unkompliziert. 10 min zu Fuß vom Strand entfernt.

Fun week in Aptos

Thanksgiving Getaway

I'm super late with this review as we stayed here Thanksgiving week. It was a great house that accommodated my whole family. The location was a short drive to everything we wanted to see and the house had pretty much what we needed. My only issue is that it was not disclosed that the heater was not working. I reached out to the owner and he responded quickly letting us know and telling us the were a couple of portable heaters. He also offered to pick up more for us if we needed them,which was nice. But my elderly parents really suffered the first night so it would've been nice to tell us right away.

Beautiful view!

We really enjoying our stay in Aptos. The house is quite large and has a beautiful view. It is close to the beach, restaurants and shopping. We stay at a lot of VRBO properties and Joe was one of the best hosts we have ever dealt with. He was quick to respond to questions. We had an issue with the heater when we got there and it was quickly resolved. We enjoyed the area and the house so much coming back next year.

This property was perfect for our annual getaway. Large, open living room/dining room. 4 bathrooms. We enjoyed the deck, great ocean view. This place was nothing fancy, but clean, great location!

We loved Aptos!

We had an amazing 7 nights in Aptos at Joe's house. Aptos is such a cute town and very quiet. There's a Safeway not far away, Marianne's ice cream is delicious, and there are several coffee shops. We ate at Aptos BBQ which was yummy and did a wine tasting at Ser Winery Wine Tasting which we enjoyed. This house was much bigger than we needed for our family of 4 but it was nice that our young adult kids (boy & girl) each had their own room and bathroom. The beds were VERY comfortable (even the sheets were soft and good quality) and we loved having the king bed. The living room has a brand new couch with plenty of seating room and a Smart TV in the corner cabinet. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots/pans, utensils and there are some dry goods (salt, pepper, olive oil) also. The refrigerator looks brand new as does the cook top. The view from the several decks, especially the rooftop, is amazing (as long as there's no fog). They have brand new furniture on the rooftop deck, but we didn't use it. There's a table and chairs up there too, a little old and worn. I noticed that a few other reviews mention that the house is older and there's a bit of a musty/stale smell. I found this to be true, but it still felt very clean and comfortable and it wouldn't deter me from booking Joe's place again. We spent one day in Aptos and did day trips for the other days. The entrance to the Freeway (1) is very close to the house so it made traveling to other locations very convenient and easy. Overall, we loved Aptos and Joe's house and would highly recommend booking with him.

Redwood Chillaxer

We had two chillaxing weeks, hiking each day in Nisene Park under Old Growth. I know Joe didn't have any control over the weather, but where we're from, it's mighty hot, and being in Aptos was the relief we needed. What a great place. Felt like home but with a view of the ocean! We're already planning our return.

Great location!

We are a family with 2 teenage daughters. We had plenty of sleeping options and our beds were comfortable. Great views from the upper deck and rooftop. The home needs updating, but we didn't mind so much. Joe was easy to get a hold of and very accommodating.

Roomy house with beautiful decks

This spot was perfect for a mini-vacation in the Aptos/Santa Cruz area over an extended weekend. The house is lived-in and comfortable and much bigger than in the pictures; there's tons of space for a big family or a bunch of friends. Our group had a toddler and was able to spread out in the huge lower room while the kid-free adults had the second floor to themselves. The top floor (which you walk into through the front door) is a great gathering space and makes it easy to cook meals together, BBQ, watch movies, drink some beers, and play games. Hands-down, the best part are the views from the decks - you feel like you're in a treehouse but you can also see the ocean from corners of the decks and from the rooftop deck. It's so relaxing and pretty and smells amazing out there. The location overall is great because it's easy to get to a couple different beaches. The road is really busy with no sidewalks and very close to the house, so if you're used to strolling out your door and walking around, this is a spot you'll need to navigate more carefully. Joe was easy to reach by text and lovely about accommodating. Thanks for a nice stay.

Fun Beach House

House has a seating area up on the roof where you can see the ocean. Loved it. And the owner very promptly called us back when we had a question when we arrived. Wonderful vacation rental.

Wedding Weekend

The online photos and description could not do justice to this property - the space was huge and very comfortable. We enjoyed the full moon rising from all 3 floors AND the rooftop balcony. Pulling in and out of the driveway is tricky because of the hilly road, but parking space is ample. Access to the beach is a short walk down hill (10 minutes). Amazing trees make the property feel like you're in a giant tree house. King bed is extremely comfortable and huge shower in king bed room. Joe was instantly accessible through email.

We loved Joes house, it is a little dated but very clean and comfortable. It is out of the higher traffic area of Santa Cruz so it was nice and quiet. Easy to get to. Tons of room. We will definitely save this house for future trips.

The property was perfect and had enough room for 8 to sleep. Everything worked perfectly and the house was more than adequately supplied. Excellent views. Comfy beds and plenty of seating. Lots of beach toys provided. It was great.

Good property

Nice property but definitely dated. The house has thermostats but A/C not working. It got hot upstairs. Close to beach but definite drive. Recommend Cafe Rio. Good food, fun bar.

big comfy house close to beach redwoods and Monterey aquarium

Clean and had everything we we needed. Lots of room to spread out . Lots of bathrooms. Liked the decks but didn’t try the grill. My bed was perfect but my friend thought hers was a little bit harder than she likes. Good location to go to Monterey aquarium one way and redwood state park the other. Easy access to the beach which was not crowded but we were there during the week. Loved internet access . Only downside is the couches are older/ sink waaay in when you sit down. I would recommend this house. We really enjoyed our stay. We had no need to contact owner during our stay so I can’t speak to that.

Spacious comfortable home.

Took a trip with 3 other girlfriends.. We loved all the bedrooms and bathrooms. This house would be great ecpecially for 3 couples..and kids. We went to Moss Landing and kayaked the slough..Great tour with Kayak Connections. Enjoyed the rooftop and watched the sunset..we will definitely be back. Thanks Joe for getting back to us quickly when we had questions...
