"This cottage was just perfect for us. Clean, tidy, cozy...all we could ask for! Great location...easy walk from cottage to the center of Grassington with it's shops, pubs, visitors center & sites...walk in the other direction & you are minutes away from walks on the Dales with scenic vistas & idyllic beauty. Host provided lots of info at cottage about walks and sites to see. We loved our time here. Highly recommend!"

"Amazing property . Loved the carved wood ceilings and wood panelled walls not to mention the secret door. Never seen so many books outside a library. unfortunately didn’t stay long enough to read any. Also a vast selection of DVDs. The communal lounge was magnificent, we didn’t use it but were very impressed. The rest of our accommodation housed everything we needed and was clean and functional. "This is a lovely cottage in the middle of Grassington. Parking is a bit tight but manageable. The cottage is lovely, beds and sofas are comfortable. TV is excellent with an on demand selection. It was a bonus to have a secluded garden. Perfect for when the sun is out. It was clean (with the exception of a few cobwebs on the wall) and felt very homely. It was a quiet and peaceful place to stay and we would happily return."

"A really comfortable and charming property. Very clean with a well equipped kitchen. The bed was also good (even for me with a bad back). The location is superb - in a quiet valley, an easy walk to Bolton castle and just a stroll to Aysgarth waterfalls. As a map will show, really close to Wensley and Leyburn with nice pubs. Juliet and David were very friendly hosts (as were the sheep)."

"We had a wonderful time. The cottage was very comfortable, peaceful, and relaxing with a lovely garden and amazing views out the back. It's in a beautiful location with easy access to explore the dales. There are many great restaurants and pubs relatively close by. Phillip was a great host, very responsive and helpful with all inquiries. would highly recommend."

"This was our 2nd stay in Carr House. It’s a great home with fantastic outside space. We love Kirkby Lonsdale and visit at least once a year. We have stayed in many properties all of which have been lovely in their own way. Carr House is our favourite though. Great experience from communication with Clare and ease of check in and check out. We hope to return again! "

"We were very impressed with the instructions and ease of getting to and finding the location and keys. The bed rooms were large and spacious. The kitchen well stocked with utensils. The location peaceful and quiet. The amenities adequate and the location perfect to both the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. "

"Beautiful cottage on the edge of the Lake District. Great location as it’s a short drive to most popular Lake District attractions. Stunning scenery and spacious cottage make for a relaxing getaway. Kev welcomed us when we arrived and recommended places to visit including the local pub for pizza which was lovely! 100% recommend this cottage for anybody looking to visit the Lake District. The hot tub was a luxurious bonus which helped us relax after a long day of hiking. "

"Very pretty and had all we needed for self catering. Maybe a baking sheet, smaller saucepan and a baking dish would have been useful - not a big deal!Lovely to be next to the beck, loads of birds to watch and interesting places to visit.Drive from The Tan Inn to Hawes not for the faint hearted, narrow and very steep.Noticed a funny mark in the oven which I couldn't clean so emailed the office and someone came the next day to clean it - excellent.
