Lovely cottage in Pittenweem

This was our second stay at Binny Cottage. The cottage is a beautiful, comfortable place from which to explore the East Neuk. The cottage has a spacious kitchen and family room on separate floors, two recently renovated baths and 3 bedrooms with a bonus TV room that can be converted. The garden is gorgeous and the views of the harbour and the chimneys of the town are breathtaking. The biggest improvement since our last stay in 2022 is a separate outbuilding with a new W/D. An absolute must when traveling with teenagers! Don't miss the Cocoa Tree and Clock Tower Cafe...good food and really nice people. Sam/Jeremy are very responsive hosts and we are very much looking forward to our next stay at Binny!

Ein absolut perfekter Aufenthalt in Pittenweem

Wir haben eine Woche mit sieben Erwachsenen und meinem kleinen Neffen (1,5 Jahre) im Cottage verbracht – und waren einfach nur begeistert! Der Anlass unserer Reise war ein Familienjubiläum, welches wir so in bester Umgebung feiern konnten. Das Ferienhaus war für uns alle ein echtes Zuhause auf Zeit: liebevoll eingerichtet, sehr sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen entspannten Urlaub braucht. Man merkt, dass hier mit Herz an jedes Detail gedacht wurde.Die Lage ist unschlagbar – ruhig, aber mittendrin, nur einen kurzen Spaziergang vom Meer entfernt. Pittenweem selbst ist zauberhaft und ein wunderbarer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die Umgebung.Ein ganz großes Dankeschön an Sam, unseren Gastgeber. Er war durchgehend freundlich, zugewandt und immer erreichbar! Wir haben uns rundum wohl und willkommen gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.Ganz klare Empfehlung – 5 Sterne

A magical holiday in Pittenweem!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Binny Cottage! The location was a dream, finding the property and parking were both simple, and the cottage itself was perfectly cozy, clean, and extremely well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook up some beautiful meals with local ingredients and Sam and Jeremy's tips on where to go made our stay in Pittenweem feel like a home away from home.We can't thank you both enough for our wonderful Christmas holiday in Scotland! And we're already discussing a return!

Amazing home, amazing location!

This property was perfect. Spacious for four of us, comfortable bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, plenty of room for us to spread out, including the kitchen and living room. Convenient small grocery in walking distance (we did not have a car), and a bakery and some great restaurants. Several wonderful walks to nearby towns. Hosts were beery responsive to any questions we had. We would absolutely return again!

Beautiful East Fife

We had a glorious week in this beautiful house in Pittenweem helped no doubt by the unseasonably warm and sunny weather. The area is very scenic with lots of farm and fish shops which we enjoyed visiting. The house itself is lovely - very comfortable, warm and inviting with a real sun trap of a garden which we used every day. Gloriously private and quiet too! Would hesitate to recommend!

Lovely retreat

This is a lovely property, very serene with lots of light, a gorgeous garden, and stunning views from the upper floors. I needed someplace that felt quiet and private but not isolated and this totally fit the bill… it was right in town but tucked away on a steep, narrow lane that only allows for foot traffic. If anyone in your party has mobility issues, this property probably isn’t right - you have to walk yourself and your luggage up the lane with has some stairs as well, and the house itself is on three floors. For me it was absolutely perfect, and it would be great for a larger party as it has three lovely bedrooms and two full baths, and the kitchen is large with a big table and there is lovely outdoor furniture as well. The hosts were wonderful, very communicative and helpful. All in all, a very well run property in a beautiful setting. I felt very lucky to have stayed there.

Beautiful property, comfortable beds, perfect location, beautiful garden. All perfect, no complaints (only thing to note and people could be made aware of is had children there once and when back door and front door open at same it’s a bit of a wind tunnel, need to prop front door open otherwise it slams and it’s heavy and child nearly got caught - just useful to be aware of it!) Thanks so much for a lovely holiday!

Lovely house in a lovely village

Idyllic is the word - Pittenweem is a lovely little fishing village and a great base for wider travel, and this house is just perfect - really well presented, large enough that you aren't all tripping over each other and very quiet. Sam is a terrific host too.

Holiday in Fife

Cozy seaside cottage near harbor with excellent communication and recommendations from host. All of our needs and comforts were satisfied. We would most DEFINITELY stay again and recommend to family and friends! We enjoyed coastal walks, the wood stove/sitting room, BIG kitchen, back garden, and space for everyone. The Dory Bistro was excellent! And I especially liked the friendly staff at the Coco Tree and the yarn shop.

Unique Cottage

Spent a few days here mid December to celebrate family birthday. When we arrived cottage was cosy and warm and the lovely Christmas tree and decorations made it feel like home from home. The layout suited us perfectly with mum, dad and two kids on top floor with their own bathroom/shower. Myself, hubby and daughter on mid floor with our own shower/toilet. There was nothing in the spacious kitchen that we could not find. The garden looked amazing alas in December a bit too chilly to make use of. All in all a great cottage, to which I would not hesitate to return.

Dempseys at Binny Cottage

Wonderful property. So lovely it was difficult to leave and explore the magnificent coastline and beautiful village. We got great September weather and Binny Cottage was the perfect place to base ourselves and explore such a picturesque part o& the world. Nice to cosy in at night and play some games in the big comfy living-room too!

Wohlfühlcottage mit wunderschönem Garten.

Das Haus ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und mit zahlreichen Originalbildern und -zeichnungen ausgestattet. Die Betten sind sehr bequem und alle Räume sind sehr sauber. Die Kommunikation ist ebenfalls hervorragend. Schon vor der Reise wurden uns reichlich Empfehlungen zur Verfügung gestellt. Das Cottage liegt direkt am Hafen von Pittenweem mit Zugang zum Fife Coastal Path. Mit wenigen Schritten hat man in beide Richtungen überwältigende Ausblicke auf den Firth of Forth und die Isle of May.

Beautiful cottage

The house is in an idyllic location, just above the port of Pittenweem. It is spacious and clean, with a nice garden. Parking in the port was free, but not always easy to find.

Beautiful cottage

Had a brilliant time at this beautiful cottage with my children and grandchildren. It was very spacious, immaculately clean and excellently equipped with everything you could think of. Really geared for families with games, DVD’s Xbox and books The owner was an excellent host and left a generous welcome pack for us and also made sure there was plenty of tea coffee milk etc. They also provided all cleaning materials and there were tons of towels and beach towels. The beds were super comfy too. The grandchildren enjoyed playing in the garden which was south facing so a great wee sun trap. Really nice quiet area just a 1 minute walk from the harbour. Would highly recommend this to anyone thinking of a holiday in Pittenweem. Hope to come again soon
