"This hotel was probably state of the art 35/40 yrs ago. It’s very well photographed but in honesty… it’s awful. Rooms are worn out, carpets in places are threadbare. Bathroom had various it’s broken or loose. In the evenings was a constant smell of over cooked vegetables that was very unpleasant. Having spoken to locals it’s recently been taken over but it’s in need of HUGE investment I (and neither will my colleagues) definitely won’t be staying there again."

"We stayed here one night as a last minute getaway from the heat back home . The property was spotless and everything was so thoughtful , so many personal touches showing the care they take with their guests . They went above and beyond when I had an issue with my car charging and drove me all the way to it, which would have cost £50 in a taxi. My children loved the animals on site and the owners were very patient answering all their questions ! Thank you so much for your kindness !"

"Lovely old pub with good rooms available, Gary is a nice friendly host and really cares that you enjoy your stay. We had our evening meal and drinks there which were good quality and value for money. The breakfast was top notch and you helped yourself to good quality coffee and toast. I've already booked a stay here again."

"I wish we could have given more stars on this hotel because the rooms were actually very clean and lovely and comfortable. Unfortunately we were told we could check in at 3pm but when we got to the hotel, there was a sign on the door to say reception was closed until 4pm and we were given a number to call if assistance was required. We called the number several times and it went to voicemail. Luckily I have family that live just down the road so we weren’t stuck with nowhere to go. It turns out,...
