The location was nice and the condo seemed clean. The pictures of the inside of the condo were accurate. The beds and pillows were subpar but tolerable. The television upstairs was not working properly but we dealt with it. However, there were a couple of frustrations that were such high negatives that prompt me to give this location such a low rating. First of all, the gas fireplace was not working. My husband saw maintenance workers outside and asked them what the problem was and he was told that the gas to the whole building had been turned off since September 2019. Our stay was January 5-10, 2020. Not once were we notified that the fireplace was inoperable. Which brings me to my second major complaint; there was no communication. I called multiple times (speaking to the people at VACASA). They were unaware that there was a problem with the fireplace. After my many phone calls they notified me they discovered that they could not send out anyone to fix it because it is an HOA problem. I then asked to talk to the home owner to discuss the possibility of some compensation since having a fireplace was very important to my family. I was told the homeowner would be notified and he would be in contact with me. Up to this point there has been no communication with the homeowner.
We left the condo neat and tidy and followed check out directions because we tried to do the right thing. I wish the homeowner would do the right thing.
