We were disappointed that the place seemed to be in the middle of a window remodel. There was not window trim, with visible black mold on Sheetrock surrounding and exposed plastic vapor barrier. This situation was gross and uncomfortable given the bed was directly adjacent. This would have been a no go for anyone with mold allergies. For us if was just unpleasant, uncomfortable, and disappointing. The trim on the lovely gas fireplace also isn’t yet installed and you can see into the wall cavity. Place’s heating system didn’t seem up to code as heater is so close to the couch. All these things might have been fine if we’d known a renovation was going on, and we had a reduced price, but we felt upset about having this renovation going on during our special weekend and for our paying full price. Other aspects beyond the renovation: downstairs is cute and cozy, the location was quiet and convenient, and the views spectacular.

The location is great and the condo is cozy. However, we had difficulties from the start getting in due to misplaced keys, and it took almost a day of not being able to reliably get into the condo building for resolution. Additionally, one of the bedrooms did not have curtains and was directly facing another condo window. Other aspects of the interior also felt dated and unfinished.

The main issue was no consistency in the hot water and the one shower in the unit had intermittent or no water pressure. Vacasa was notified but no one came to rectify the issue. The lower level baseboard heat did not work and neither did the small gas heater. We used the small gas fireplace, once we found the remote to operate it, to heat the lower level.The place was clean, well supplied, and conveniently located, but without a working shower we left early and did not get any refund.

We were moved to a different unit than we were originally booked due to some unforeseen circumstances. We were informed ahead of time and given the opportunity to agree to the move. The unit we were in was fine, somewhat dated but overall it worked out fine.

The location was amazing! It was very quiet, you didn’t even know there was anyone else in the building. The condo was comfortable and relatively clean. Beds were comfortable and kitchen and bathrooms were stocked. The downside… There was visible mildew in the shower and in all the windows. Inside several board game boxes we found mouse droppings. The toaster doesn’t work, and most of the silverware in the drawer was not clean.

Clean. Great location. Very comfortable beds. Not set up well for making meals or eating. No drinking glasses or amenities. Toaster didnt work. There is a water filter for the chlorined water which was helpful.

Easy walk to char lift

The condo is beat up. There are broken window parts, water stains in ceiling, stale air and some mold growing along the window sills. That said, the place was quiet, mostly clean, beds were clean and comfy and you don’t rent a place like this to be in it a lot. You should be outside most of the day. This is just a crash pad. Lots of games available for all ages. Great layout!

Fix the shower

Overall, this was ok. Location great, unit clean and pretty well appointed. Problem with check in. The unit lock box that has key to get in building needs replacing. The reset button is missing and lock box is largely unusable. Main problem was with the shower. Tap handles wont turn without force, and then gradually turn off. Tap diverter doesn’t really work, and end result is a very small trickle of water. Beds need replacing.

The listing states fireplace in bold letters which was a feature we were excited about only to find out renters aren’t even allowed to use it! So take it of the actual listing title!! The shower knobs are nearly impossible to turn and it feels like you’re going yo break them when trying

Bummer in Girdwood

There were no towels in the bathroom, the hand sanitizer bottle had no pump, the key wasn't in the lock box and we had to drive to a separate location to retrieve a key that also didn't work, the upstairs windows didn't open so it was stuffy and smelly upstairs, there was trash under the bookcase. We tried calling for help but the customer service had no knowledge of the property itself. They didn't understand that the e-lock was different from the key lock box, so they were not any help.

Difficult check-in, nice location

Great location, difficult to get in--there are several different entrances and lock boxes. Seems like it's quite common to have this issue. Also, ceiling fan was very loud and kept us awake.

Alyeska ski trip

While we had a fun trip, the accommodations were not quite as clean and maintained as we had hoped. The stairs were dusty, a few utensils were greasy, the fridge door has issues of closing properly, and the coffee table was very rickety. I am also a host and would want to know of these things so I could correct/repair them. It would be nice to have mattress pads on the twin beds, which would make them more comfortable rather than the thin cover used currently. I did report these through Vacasa. The location was perfect and ease of check in was appreciated. We enjoyed our stay.

Great apartment walking distance from lifts

Great spot a 5 min walk from the lifts at Alyeska. Apartment was clean and as described and the location could not be beat. The only downsides were no TV in the living area and the kitchen could have been better stocked (few glasses, sharp knives, etc) — but all minor overall!
