We don't love giving feedback like this but we hope it helps the next person. Unfortunately, we encountered several issues during our stay. The experience began on an unexpected note when our original booking was changed to a different property on the day of check-in. While we recognize that unforeseen circumstances can occur, this last-minute alteration added unnecessary stress to our planning and was less than ideal.Upon our arrival, we observed that some pieces of furniture had noticeable stains, and certain areas of the home appeared to require maintenance and greater attention to detail. It’s unfortunate, as with some updates and thorough cleaning, the space could significantly enhance comfort for future guests. Regrettably, we found the second property to be merely satisfactory and not reflective of what we initially paid for, leading us to cancel our booking, which required us to contact VRBO customer service.Although the host responded quickly leading to and upon our arrival, he preferred to communicate through personal text instead of the VRBO messaging system. We don’t typically mind text, but VRBO has advised us that using the app for essential conversations helps maintain a secure record of interactions in case anything were to transpire. At the end of the day, we see opportunities for enhancement in areas like consistency, cleanliness,and preparation, which could lead to a more seamless and inviting experience.
