Very good experience !

The house was very clean and it was so cozy! Doet is very kind and she helps you in what you want! The cannal is not in the center so Renting a bike would be perfect, we did it and we enjoyed much more than going in public transport or walking. The zone is very calm.

We stay for three days and the location was perfect, it may seem that is not so close to center, but by bike is really close, only 10min. Bedonboard is a nice and quiet place to stay, and owners are kind and nice people. I would repeat the place for sure!

Beautiful Dutch Respite on Canal

Well maintained, simply modern style room with great views. Easy walking to Westerpark, restaurants, and bus access to any where in the city. A lovely family of hosts.

Wonderful stay

We loved staying on an Amsterdam houseboat during our exploration of this great city. Doet and family were welcoming and accessible. The BedonBoard is well located on a quiet canal. Could not have hoped for more!

très bon accueil de notre hôte, vraiment très sympathique et avenant. Parle bien français! nous a bien conseillé. Le logement est bien placé, à l'écart mais très calme et accessibilité rapide vers les pistes cyclables. chambre confortable. Par contre, logement un peu petit. Et des rideaux occultants seraient la bienvenue pour le matin. Très bon séjour.

Wonderful accommodation and hosts!

I had a wonderful stay at this lovely little accommodation by the water. It’s tucked away in a peaceful, quiet area, yet it’s just a short walk to the city center. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. The location is perfect for a relaxing getaway, and I would definitely return if I’m ever in Amsterdam again. Highly recommend!

Nicht wie in der Beschreibung von der App „FeWo-direkt“ angegeben, durften wir das Zimmer pünktlich betreten.Trotz des starken Regen wurden wir abgewiesen und mussten eine Stunde warten.Das Appartement/Zimmer entspricht nicht den Bildern. Dunkel, sehr sehr klein. Ungemütlich!Wir hatten uns ein Hausboot sehr gewünscht. Dann aber doch lieber ein Hotelzimmer mit Komfort! Das Zimmer entspricht keinen guten Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.

Amsterdam stay

Great location!! Doet was very kind. We were a little overwhelmed with the check in process due to our WhatsApp not working. We thought we’d have a little more room than we did. Room was nice, bathroom was nice, and location was incredible. Overall, good stay!

"Luxury Boathouse"

First of all, the title of the place is totally misrepresented. The hostess was extremely rude and hard to work with. The unit is a bedroom in the Host/Hostess' houseboat. They have 2 teen age boys who, with the husband and wife were constantly slamming doors even until the late night..12 midnight+. Also, the razor thin door was no barrier from hearing their LOUD conversations late into the night. The bedroom did have a sliding window to open to outside air, but there was no cross ventilation and no AC and no fans. Opening window was exposed to afternoon sun and the bedroom was extremely hot. Over all, I believe the unit is overly represented by the Host and it was a miserable 3 days.

nice stay on a pretty canal

Our stay was lovely. The room was nice & located on a pretty & quiet canal. It is walkable, and near bus stops & good restaurants. My only feedback is that the check-in process was a bit stressful... the host insisted on sending a video that detailed how to check in, which was an inconvenience because the video was too large to send via the VRBO app, and required using valuable phone data to download (I was traveling abroad & on a limited phone plan). And in the end, the video was totally unnecessary (all we needed was the lockbox number). Getting to the bottom of all of that was a stressful & drawn-out process, while we were traveling into Amsterdam via train. If we had been flying directly into Amsterdam it would have been untenable. But once we arrived & settled in, it was a lovely room. The room is located inside the host's houseboat where they live, so you do have to walk through the host's shared entryway to get to your room. The window that opens out onto the canal was very nice, and it was lovely watching ducks swimming just outside our room. Another reviewer was disappointed at the view across the canal being a brick wall, but it wasn't a problem for us--we actually appreciated the privacy it provided. We enjoyed having a glass of wine in our room, looking out onto the canal. There are several great coffee shops nearby, and a lovely park. Overall it was a nice place to stay, and we very much enjoyed our time in Amsterdam!

Not a VRBO

At the time of our booking this listing was described as a house boat with one room, a bathroom and kitchen. Upon our arrival we discovered it was only one room of a house boat with at least three other bedrooms. Two bedrooms adjacent to the one we rented were occupied by the hosts and another below ours was rented to other visitors. The hosts and VRBO created a very misleading listing. The hosts were extremely noisy, using loud voices and slamming doors until midnight. There was no kitchen it was only a very small refrigerator, a kettle, coffee maker and a set of dishes for two all in the corner of the bedroom. No sink and no way to heat foods. We washed our dishes in the small bathroom sink. The toilet barely had room for a 6’ person to sit without hitting their knees and the shower is only partially enclosed splashing water onto the floor in front of the sink. We were contacted four times after making our reservation. The first time Doet explained she needed an extra payment in cash when we arrived due to her forgetting to raise the rent for the high season. All communication was thru the VRBO app until we arrived in Amsterdam; then we were instructed to call the provided phone number so our hosts could estimate our arrival time. Doet answered and said Sven would greet us upon our arrival at the house boat. He let us in the room and made sure to collect the extra euros I was charged for our reservation. Sadly, we are extremely disappointed with VRBO :-(

Nice Property on the canal

The property was very nice and in a good area. A little ways for walking but bus and team available. The hosts were very gracious and gave us nice tips on local restaurants, transportation, erc. We would recommend this to anyone.
