We had such a lovely time staying in Maartens accommodation. It was a perfect base for our weekend visit. The accommodation, itself, was clean and tidy and very comfortable - staying on a boat was a treat and the location perfect for all our needs - really close to central station and it felt like the whole of Amsterdam was on our doorstep. Thanks for the welcome, Maarten, and making it all so easy.

Maarten's place was perfect for what we were looking for in Amsterdam. A houseboat and within walking distance to all the attractions. Maarten was extremely accommodating in our changing travel plans. I could not be happier and would highly recommend staying here.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit

Das Hausboot-Zimmer mit Bad hat unseren Vorstellungen absolut entsprochen.- Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter im Vorfeld und während des Aufenthaltes war freundlich und informativ.- Check-In/-Out und Öffnen der Haupttür mit Code verlief problemlos - Bett war bequem- Bad war ausreichend groß - Klimaanlage funktionierte und es war schnell abgekühlt- Fernseher (Netflix) und kleiner Kühlschrank sind auch vorhanden - „Vorgarten“ könnte mit wenig Aufwand ansprechender gestaltet werden zum gemütlichen Verweilen (Vermieter erklärte anfänglich jedoch gleich von Selbst, warum er bisher noch nicht dazu kam)- Lage sehr zentral und alles war fußläufig erreichbar, was wir erreichen wolltenWir haben uns insgesamt sehr wohlgefühlt.

Amsterdam visit

Maarten was great to work with. The location was perfect and convenient to walk everywhere. The only thing that would have made the stay perfect, would be a bit of outdoor seating. Being able to sit outside and relax and watch boat traffic would have been wonderful. I’d stay here again.

Fantastic Flat on the Water!

Top notch! Great location within walking distance of Amsterdam Centraal Station. Room was very clean and quite comfortable. Perfect for a quick getaway to explore Amsterdam. Maarten was easy to communicate with and an absolute superhost. Glad we chose his B&B. Would definitely stay here again!

Great little house boat

Maarten was a great host and easy to communicate with. He answered all our questions before & during our stay. This little boat was perfect for 2 people. It was convenient to the train station and local attractions.

This is a cute little space in a perfect location, but be aware it is a very small unit. The host is very nice and there to help with anything you need. You can walk to anywhere in the canal district easily.

Tolle und vorallem super besondere Unterkunft für einen Städtetrip nach Amsterdam. Dank der detaillierten Zugangsbeschreibung konnten wir problemlos in die schöne und sehr saubere Unterkunft einchecken und wurden auch direkt freundlich vom Besitzer Maarten begrüßt. Innerhalb kürzester Zeit ist man zu Fuß am Bahnhof und im Zentrum. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder.

I’m on a boat!

Everything was awesome! We stayed near the museums on our first few nights in Amsterdam, the on the boat for a couple nights on our return. It was great to book end the city to get a bit different experience. Everything works great including the shower. A good shower was very hit, or miss in our European tour. Communication was easy every step of the way. We really enjoyed something a little different this time around. Thanks!!

Maarten, the host, is incredibly responsive and attentive. His quick replies to queries make the experience seamless. Accommodation: The rooms on this charming old ship are cosy and clean. Imagine waking up to the gentle sway of the water! The ship has been recently renovated, preserving its historic charm. Location: The B&B is strategically situated—not amidst the madness, but close enough to escape into the vibrant city. Although it’s called a Bed and Breakfast, no breakfast is served. But fear not—the nearby cafes and bakeries offer delightful morning treats. Just be aware that neighbors occasionally walk over the roof of the B&B on their way home—it’s all part of the ship-living experience! A quintessential Amsterdam experience for any traveller.

Property was different (it us a boat) But is comes with limitations. I.e. place for cases. No wardrobe. Pictures are accurate. Maarten the host was very welcoming and left us alone during the stay. On departure we described a smell we experienced during our stay so he could be aware. Should not be described as B&B Refrigerator provided but take everything you might need with you. Only two cups and small spoons provided. Netflix worked well. Felt safe in the area but not wowed by the experience.
