Parilla. Aparcamiento (2 coches). Librea caballo de bricolaje. No Fumar.. Paddock Cottage es una encantadora y atractiva cabaña de antiguos trabajadores agrícolas con una acogedora chimenea. Disfrutando de espléndidas vistas y situado en una granja de trabajo mixto, con vacas, terneros, caballos y tres cerdos llamados Prudence, Portia y Primrose, a unas 2 millas al norte de la histórica ciudad de Alnwick. Ambas casas de vacaciones están amuebladas y equipadas para brindar un cómodo estilo de alojamiento en una zona tranquila, a la que se accede por un camino rural que pasa por la granja. Esta es una excelente área en la que basar sus vacaciones, ya que el campo circundante es maravilloso, y la hermosa costa con sus numerosas playas de arena está a poca distancia en coche. Una buena variedad de castillos, casas señoriales y otras atracciones fascinantes también se pueden encontrar al alcance de la mano. Golf y equitación cerca. Tiendas y pubs 2 millas.

Great base to discover Northumberland

The cottage was lovely and cosy despite some quite wild and windy weather during our recent stay. Good central heating and the option to use the open fire to top this up or just to enhance the cosy atmosphere. Great communication with the hosts and a lovely chocolate cake to welcome us. Ideal location to explore Northumberland.

The only problem was that there wasn’t much space to put food as the kitchen was so well equipped, it would have been good to have 2 toilets but that’s not something that can be changed, a real blessing to have all firewood and coal provided and such a good fire , and we’ll be back Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

A pleasant place to stay, out in the countryside but within easy distance of Alnwick.

A pleasant place to stay, out in the countryside but within easy distance of Alnwick. Good views, and a generous garden area (not that we sat out in it in November). The house is in a busy farm, but we were not disturbed. It was warm and comfortable. The flowers and chocolate cake were appreciated, and it is dangerously convenient to be in the midst of a pudding-making establishment! Equipment was up to standard, though we'd have liked some tumblers in the kitchen, more appropriately-shaped for the local Alnwick rum and Hotspur gin and tonic! It should be made clear on the website that the cottage is not detached; it didn't affect us on this occasion, but at other times, and with other neighbours, it might have done.

Our eighth visit to Paddock Cottage and as always we enjoyed this cosy warm cottage and the lovely fresh flowers and delicious chocolate cake. The owners are friendly and helpful but never intrusive. The garden is enclosed and great for dogs. The farm itself is in a lovely spot with views looking out to the Cheviots. Alnwick is just a couple of miles away and the beaches can all be reached in half an hour or less. All in all a great place to stay and we will be back there next year.

We were made to feel very welcome by the owners who stopped to talk every time we saw them, our son loved the animals on the farm especially the baby chicks. Lovely holiday stay.

Lovely holiday stay. Enjoyed every minute. We will come again and now we have more info about dog friendly eating places we will find it easier to stay out and about for longer. Brilliant location and friendly hosts.
