Perfect little cottage
We stayed here for the 2024 eclipse. It was a perfect location. Plan to bring bottled water for drinking/cooking/etc during your stay, but otherwise, there is everything you need for a relaxing weekend away!

Wonderful stay on the lake!
My family and I had a great little getaway for two days at this location. Check in was super easy and Khara was very receptive to any questions we may have had. The cottage was very clean, cozy, and the beds were very comfortable! Definitely am going to re book another weekend for a small getaway again!

Great area in a nice neighborhood
We enjoyed our stay in East Alburg cottage. The beds were super comfortable, giving us a restful night. We did not know how to stay on their property as it was so overgrown. When we found out where [behind neighbors mailbox] we still couldn’t enter because husband discovered steps and deck were in such bad shape. Probably from recent storms.The coffee pot was old, wet, & dirty we had to purchase vinegar to clean it before using. Area was clean except for thick dust buildup on exhaust fan in bath. Microwave was used as our breadbox only because plates weren’t microwaveable. I don’t have ocd, but these little things are important to me. This cute little cottage is stocked well and will be a perfect place to stay when these dangerous areas are taken care of.

Pest pro came right in and said they were ground beetles pushed up from the flooding, not roaches. They are gone now and thank you for letting us know you saw them so we could take care of them!

A nice cottage that’s in a great location
My husband and I had a great vacation while staying in Khara and Steve’s cottage. It is immaculate and is equipped with everything you will need for a stress free vacation. The cottage is in a quiet neighborhood just minutes away from the Missisquoi National Wildlife Reserve. Natural beauty is everywhere. Communication with Khara was excellent. We enjoyed ourselves so much that I have already booked our vacation at this cottage for next year.

Beautiful views and the great central location to all the boat ramps on the northern end of the lake make this an ideal fishing retreat. We'll be back.

Great location near the Lake!
This property was perfect for our needs. Close to Swanton and easy commute for our business needs. On the lake for evening enjoyment! This is a quaint little cabin whose age just gives it more charm. Checks all the boxes!

Charming "home base" cabin for exploring this Lake Champlain area.
This cabin was such a pleasant surprise! Super clean, appointed nicely and perfect to come back to after each day of exploring! It is an older cabin so things were dated, but that just added to the charm. It had everything needed for a comfortable stay, in a very quiet neighborhood. We had so much fun in the area. We came to fish, but the water levels and crazy weather patterns didn't make it easy. We did fish Sandy point - literally a stone's throw across the bridge . We visited Hog Island Market, Alburg Dune's State Park (beautiful), ParkHero's Welcome General store and took a drive into Montreal for a day. There is a train trestle out front and we got to see a couple trains, which was very cool. We didn't use the dock or deck by the lake because of the weather, but we did enjoy sitting on the covered front porch looking out at the lake. Khara was really nice and did everything she could to make us feel welcome. I would definitely stay again!

Relaxing cottage
Very quaint cottage, nice neighborhood area, very quiet. Loved the kitchen reminded me of being in my grandparents kitchen as a kid in Connecticut back in the 80s, loved it. The seating was challenging in the living room, but for 2 people all good. Dock down at lake, needs some attention. Over all loved the place.

We was 2 minutes from the boat ramp. Location was perfect, cabin was clean and perfect for our group. We will stay here again! Thank you Khara and Steve for being a great hosts 😊.

Our stay at this property
Cottage was nice with great amenities. Biggest downfall was not having a full size couch which made for very cramped seating. Very disappointed in the condition of the dock and the lack of a clean swimming area. Had to go to Alburgh Dunes multiple times to swim which was beautiful. Host was pleasant and accommodating.

Highly recommended
The house was perfect for my needs and was just as described by the hosts. It was very clean and had a lot of nice personal touches, including everything one would need in the kitchen and helpful brochures for the Champlain Islands as well as Burlington and Montreal. Khara was very helpful and responsive. It didn't hurt that the weather was beautiful. Highly recommended!

Lake house rental
The property is in a quiet neighborhood with a view of the lake and has a dock for water activities. There is also a boat launch just across the bridge for any renter looking to bring a boat along for the trip. I would recommend this property to any renter who is looking to enjoy a quite getaway. Warm and cozy
We enjoyed our stay and the views were beautiful! Location was great for us and an easy drive from Plattsburgh airport. The hosts were great to communicate with and gave us lots of suggestions for entertainment during our stay. We can't wait to come back and check out the area in the summer or fall.

Wonderful Winter Cottage
Had a wonderful time staying at the cottage. Very clean, spacious and nicely tucked away. I really appreciated the keypad contactless entry! Bathroom had soap dispensers in showers like at modern hotels so that was a nice touch as well. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect getaway!
We loved our stay! The house was perfect! We loved the porch and the dock that came with it! The washer and dryer came in soon handy! Our host Kara was great and responded quickly when we couldn’t figure out TV! We loved the area and our stay 😊

Ok stay
We kept loosing water pressure. We would have to turn water off for a few minutes then turn it on again. There isn't much to do in the evening so better tv and more comfortable furniture so you don't feel like you're in the dr. Office. I went to make coffee. There was moldy coffee grounds in pot. The laundry room has horrible mold smell. I have weak lungs so stayed out of that room completely

We will be coming back !!
We needed to bring our daughter up to UVM for the first time and also needed a place to stay. We were familiar with the islands, and looking for a cottage seemed the way to go. I can't express how happy we were with this property . It was peaceful and quiet and a great place to escape to enjoy nature. We rented kayaks , did a bit of fishing , went to a farmers market and just RELAXED.... the cottage was everything we could have asked for and more ! ENJOY your stay ; this cottage won't disappoint .

Overall good. However my wife was not pleased with the cleanliness of the food pantry/shelves, porch window sills or laundry room floor. She thought the cleaning service was lacking. She appreciated the shower and bathroom being very clean. I enjoyed the fishing and location.

Wonderful Weekend Getaway
Great location for a day trip on our boat exploring Lake Champlain. It was unclear which dock was associated with the cottage but a quick text to the host and it was clarified instantly. The host supplied a basket full of brochures containing points of interest which was helpful to learn about the area. Communication was easy and directions and expectations were clear.

Access to boat launch was down the street from the camp. Near two really fun golf courses and Alburg Dunes State Park which has a nice beach. Easy access to Isle La Motte and other Champlain Islands for excellent bike riding.

Beautiful location
What a wonderful Lakeside community. The house was perfect, exactly as pictures and description stated. The lake view was stunning and the water access was exactly what we were looking for. Unfortunately mother nature wasn’t cooperating so we had some rough weather, but Khara was amazing providing us with some alternative things to do to keep us occupied. The surrounding islands have more than enough to keep you busy, the private beach was beautiful and the water is so clear. The beds were comfortable and the house had every item we could have needed. The backyard was huge and had a beautiful sitting area outside that we took advantage of whenever we could. There are so many little things to do within five minutes, the kids absolutely loved the ice cream stand right over the bridge. And maple city had amazing maple treats! Definitely highly recommend and are hoping to book again next summer! Thanks for everything.

Great week of fishing
My fishing buddy and I had a fantastic week at this sweet little cabin right across the street from the lake. Location is ideal for fishing as we were less than a mile from the closest ramp, and there were 6-7 ramps within 10 miles from the house. House itself is clean and well kept. A little on the small side but perfect for 2-3 people. We'll definitely be going back.

The property has a nice view of the lake and there is a boat launch just on the opposite side of the bridge for renters with a boat. I would recommend this property for a small group looking to be close to the lake.

A very clean and well equipped property. The dock was fantastic for fisherpeople with a boat. I thought the cottage was right on the water from the pictures. Still good views of the Lake and a short block was no big deal. I would highly recommend this cottage for any one who likes to fish.
