Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this accommodation at all.
During our winter holiday in Iceland, we had to stay for two days in an unheated apartment – which is completely unacceptable given the temperatures there. We were aware in advance that the apartment is located in a basement and is relatively small, and for the price we did not have high expectations. However, a functioning heating system in Iceland in March must be considered an absolute basic standard.
We contacted the host twice by phone and were reassured both times that the issue was being addressed and that we would receive an update. However, we never heard back, and the problem was not resolved during our stay.
What is particularly disappointing is how the situation was handled afterward: even after involving Expedia, any form of compensation was refused by the host. We consider this to be neither customer-oriented nor responsible.
Overall, we had the impression that complaints are not taken seriously and that guests are left alone with their problems. Under these circumstances, we would not book this accommodation again.
