Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We’ve stayed at the Seven Seas condos for many years and the experience is always extraordinary. The property manager, Miguel, is a very special person who goes out of his way to make our experience memorable and his staff keeps the property in top shape. Would recommend the Seven Seas to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway. The turtles laying their eggs on the beach is just a cherry on top.

Great Stay

The property was well-kept. The property manager, Miguel, was wonderful. If you speak Spanish, take some time to chat with him. There are rocks at the water's edge (which is the case in much of this area), so I do recommend bringing water shoes. The kitchen is stocked with essential appliances (coffee maker, blender, stove, microwave). There was daily cleaning. We had a fabulous time and would consider returning to this property.

Made in Heaven

The property is excellent and Miguel the property manager is such a gem. Our flight was delayed and he waited until midnight to check us in and show us around. I have no words to thank him. The condo itself is so so comfortable. Two suggestions though. It needs an A/c in the living room and a washer dryer. The location is fantastic right on the beach and you wake to views to die for. Not much of a beach though and Sargasso is a problem though they try and clean up daily. There is a maid service too with the condo which is very convinient. We would definitely be coming back again as it is such a peaceful and quiet property. It has literally everything you can ask for in a beach property.

Wonderful place for vacation

This was our first trip to Mexico and we couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. The on-site staff were friendly and welcoming, and the managers answered all my questions. The view was stunning and the condo was clean, well-stocked and a great place to relax just steps from the beach. The reason I gave a four-star overall rating is because the rental next door - on the Master Bedroom side - is very close. So for several days we were treated to a family with extremely noisy children playing in the pool. After they left it was a somewhat less (not much) noisy group staying there. We asked both groups to keep the noise down, but it didn’t last long. The way the properties are laid out it sounded like they were in the condo with us. I would stay here again, but probably bring some good earplugs.

Seven seas #6 fantastic

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The seven seas #6 is a fantastic place to vacation. The condo is well furnished and very comfortable. The beds are comfortable and ac works great. No ac in living room but not needed with the great ocean breeze that flows thru it. Location is a quit community close to akumal bay and chemuyil. The pool is the best private pool in the area, refreshingly cool. The condo is directly on the beach. The beach is nice and walkable you do need water shoes To go in ocean, rocks are smooth and easy to walk across. management is well run by miguel escalante and his staff. The area is very safe and private. If been going to this area for over 20 yrs and it one of the few areas that has no changed and became commercial. Can’t wait to go back it’s my happy place

Our 7 Seas vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The pool was a nice temperature and well maintained by Freddie. The beach was very nice, didn't snorkel though. Went kayaking which was very enjoyable. On site manager Miguel was very helpful and friendly. The main living area was a little tight and the furniture seemed cumbersome for the space. The unit as a whole is somewhat outdated. Some of the electrical outlets were unusable due to their configuration. It was great having A/C in the bedrooms but not having it in the main area was brutal for the first few days when the temp and humidity were through the roof. The outdoor space was huge and a good place to hang out. There is one restaurant within a short drive. All in all an enjoyable stay.

A comfortable stay with an ocean breeze

We had a wonderful stay here in Akumal Sur. Akumal Direct was very easy to work with. The directions to the place were easy to follow. This is a secure street, with a 24-hour security team. Once we passed the security and found the property, Miguel (Property Manager) was there to greet us. He showed us the lay of the land and offered a number of recommendations during our stay. The layout of the place was nice. 1 (known) drawback is that the A/C is only in the bedrooms. The main living room & kitchen did get hot. We found that during our down time our family of 4 retreated to their bedrooms to cool down during the day. The pool was great during our stay! The beach had 24 turtle nests established when we got there. This is the most they've had in the last 12 years! Like other reviewers had stated in their reviews. The beach is rocky. Between the rocks and the small urchins, water shoes are a must. The immediate swimming area is wonderful. You can walk out for 30 yards and still touch the bottom. Be mindful because of the corals! There is a reef that keeps the water calm without any current. No rip tides or concerns like that. They have kayaks and life preservers for you to use as needed throughout your stay. There is a groundskeeper (Freddy) and a maid (Daesi). Everyone there was wonderful. What I enjoyed was the pride that the staff had in their little slice of paradise. It was refreshing to see our enjoyment was their #1 priority. Great place!

Wonderful But Noisy Neighbors

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We absolutely loved our stay at Seven Seas #6. The location is fantastic but a car is essential in South Akumal. The condo was clean, spacious and has an amazing view to the reef where the walk-out snorkeling is fantastic. Adjacent properties are very close and late night parties can easily become an issue for the neighbors if rental rules are not enforced. This seriously affected our last 3 of 27 night stay and we returned home exhausted because of it.The on site manager did his best to deal with the abusive noise behavior but the villa owner and rental agency should have looked after this situation or perhaps not rented to 6 twenty year olds. Quiet Akumal South?..Not always.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was perfection. We were so happy to have chosen Akumal over PDC or Tulum. If we were to go again we would probably do less sight seeing, and enjoy the property more. The management is concierge level from booking through followup after getting home. Don't hesitate to book here.

A Nice Quiet Haven on the Beach

This place was a great alternative to the crowds and activity of Akumal Bay. The beach was beautiful, quiet and safe. The condo unit itself had a lot of Mexican charm and fit nicely with what we were looking for. The unit could use a little updating, but it was clean, well-appointed and homey. And the views were absolutely perfect. Finally, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. Francisco greeted us warmly, even as we arrived after hours and about two hours later than expected. Miguel cooked us a homemade meal that rivaled the best Mexican food we have ever eaten. For us, Seven Seas #6 was the foundation for what was truly a great vacation.

Seven Seas, Unit #6

We arrived in a downpour and the power was out, typical for Mexico. Our property manager, Miguel brought candles and assured us it would be back soon on and it was. He was at our disposal all the time and was a great help with taxis and restaurant recommendations. The condo was what was promised in the pictures, well equipped and comfortable. #6 is the best unit as you can throw a rock to the ocean and be lulled to sleep by the waves. Nice balcony and furnishings. The water pressure wasn't great, but it wasn't a problem. The best feature of the property is the concierge, David. He lined up our transportation to and from the airport, highly recommended, set up our ride to the Ruins and arranged for a private chef, Francisco to come and cook for us. The dinners were fantastic. You pick the menu and he does the rest. The downside for us was that you couldn't walk anywhere, no quaint little town close by, and the beach was beautiful, but rocky and very hard to swim. If you are going for a relaxing getaway, it's perfect. If you are looking for nightlife or great restaurants and shopping, not the place to go. It was what we wanted and we had a great time.
