Amazing!

We absolutely loved this property. There were some issues with water but the property manager was super responsive and they resolved it quickly. We loved Half Moon Bay and Akumal. I'd stay here a million times over again!

Amazing!

We absolutely loved our stay at this condo. The views are stunning and it was so nice to be steps from an amazing snorkeling location with all of the snorkel gear provided. We'll be back!

Large space with oceanfront views steps from half moon bay

Wonderful property, a ton of space, clean, perfect views of half moon bay. Water shoes needed as entry is rocky. Swam with a sea turtle in front of the condo. Yal-Ku is less than a 5 minute walk away. Akumal is a quiet town but very nice and this made a great home base.

Beautiful Getaway on the Beach!

This unit was stunning, spacious, very clean, and perfect for a family or three couples! The view from all windows was spectacular! Well appointed! The grounds of La Sirena were also gorgeous and very well taken care of!

Perfect place for an intergenerational gathering

Grandparents, mother, and grandsons gathered and enjoyed this paradise. Close to all child activities: turtles, dolphins, monkeys, cenotes, etc. Tidepooling right out the door. Lovely pool. This is a lovely, extremely well-appointed home with terraces directly facing the ocean. It has many authentic Mexican touches. The only difficult thing was how sad everyone was to leave.

Slice of paradise

Beautiful, amazingly tranquil setting. You can't help but smile as you walk by the beautiful gardens and pool on your way to the condo and then instantly relax as soon as you walk through the door. The sea views are spectacular! We have stayed here multiple times with 3 adults, each of us having our own comfortable bedroom and bathroom with lots of space. We love the artwork along with the well equipped kitchen and bar. Rosa keeps everything very clean and spotless. This whole area is peaceful and the snorkeling is amazing. There is always shade and a palapa available. The host and staff are always very accommodating and friendly too!

Fantastic stay in Akumal

The unit is very bright, spacious and well appointed. Located at the end of the road and very quiet. Easy access to Yal-Lu lagoon with exceptional snorkeling. We appreciated the snorkel gear and water shoes supplied in the condo. Pool is lovely - we took a dip every evening and spent days lounging at the beach, snorkeling and sightseeing. Rosa provided daily housekeeping which truly enhanced our stay! Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Amazing place!

This place is even more beautiful in person. The furniture, art and of course the amazing view all exceeded expectations. We loved listening to the waves at night and sitting out on the balcony in the mornings and evenings. The kitchen was well stocked and so fun to cook in while watching the waves. The pool was beautiful and the beach was always clear and had available chairs. Wear water shoes as there’s a lot of coral but great snorkeling. Would highly recommend this place and Akumal was such a charming town with restaurants within walking distance.

Comfortable space and lovely setting

The condo has a great view of Half Moon Bay and direct water access for snorkeling. It is large with several gathering spaces, a well equipped kitchen, comfortable king size beds. Lovely gardens surrounding the pool. We used bikes for short ride to main beach and restaurant area. Snorkel gear, swim noodles and yoga mats provided. Bring water shoes since beach entrance is rocky.

Lovely Stay

My family and I had a lovely stay at La Sirena. The unit was spacious, well equipped and we very much appreciated all of the water toys. Access into the Half Moon Bay for snorkeling is easier at La Sirena, but be sure to have water shoes. There is always enough palapas and seats on the beach. You can’t beat the pool and gardens at La Sirena. Not to mention, you can watch the sunset from the balcony, which is not possible at most complexes in half moon bay. Thank you.

This place is the best

We loved everything about our stay. The service was excellent. The location was perfect. We loved every minute and we’re coming back soon. Any small issues we had were resolved very quickly with a lot of friendliness. The apartment was huge. My only very minor recommendation would be to change out the beach towels more often because they get very wet and dirty and dry slowly and only having them changed once a week was a little bit difficult for us. Our youngest child was four and I think if you had a child under three years old, the railing on the balcony would be a bit dangerous because of the large gaps. Other than that everything was amazing. The snorkeling right outside the condo was the best.

Spacious, comfortable, and fabulous view

This second floor condo is spacious and comfortable. On one side is a pool surrounded by beautiful gardens. On the other is a sandy waterfront area with beach chairs and palapa for those who prefer shade. Make sure to bring water shoes since the entrance for snorkeling and swimming is rocky. In the condo you will find a variety of snorkel masks, fins, noodles, boogie boards, and yoga mats. The master bedroom overlooks the bay and it is magical to watch the sunrise. Three comfortable king beds, each with own complete bathroom. The best equipped kitchen in any rental we have stayed in, also has a charcoal grill. We didn’t need a car for multi-week stay. More fun and cheaper to rent bikes for rides to restaurants and use delivery from Riviera Maya groceries.

Spring break with adult kids

We loved our stay at La Sirena!! Beautiful garden and pool area as you enter, private quiet beach area with plenty of loungers and palapas oceanside. Definitely the more quiet, peaceful end of the road compared to up near Akumal beach. The condo was one of the best equipped VRBO rentals we’ve stayed in. More than enough space for 3 couples. We each even had our own balcony off of our rooms. We loved being able to snorkel every day right out our back door. We saw 1 sea turtle, 2 spotted eagle rays, several manta rays and smaller rays. Countless colorful fish, an eel, cuttlefish, so many spiny starfish, beautiful sea fans and coral!! We brought some of our own snorkel gear but there were plenty of fins, snorkels, and life vests. If you are avid snorkelers, I'd suggest you bring your own mask. (We only found 2 that worked for our group) The only downside that we could think of is that the water pressure is very low - hard to get all the shampoo rinsed off- and it takes quite a while to heat up. It was nice to have Rosa to sweep the sand, tidy up, and put away dishes daily. If you've been to Akumal before, be warned that you are very limited in where you can snorkel for free at Akumal beach these days. That was definitely a disappointment. My daughter did see 2 turtles in the free area though.

Great Stay

We had such a great stay in Akumal! Although the weather didn't cooperate and it rained most of the day each day, we still managed to make it a fun trip mainly because how great the condo was. We spent more time indoors than we were hoping too, but the condo was so spacious, had great air conditioning, and had great balconies that we could sit on and watch the rain and storms coming in. We are a family of 5 and had so much room. It was great having the pool and beach within feet of the condo so when the weather let up we could go jump in the pool or go play in the sand. We have stayed in Akumal several times and this was our favorite condo so far. We will definitely be renting here again! Also I was very worried about the sargasso situation. I was so pleasantly surprised that although the rest of half moon bay was piled high with sargasso and the water in front of most of the bay had a lot of sargasso in it, there was no sargasso in front of La Sirena and it was easy (with swim shoes) to walk in the ocean and go for a swim. Thank you so much for the great stay!

Condo mansion

This condo was a luxurious paradise with the ocean steps away. I recommend stocking up on groceries in Playa Del Carmen and hiring a turtle snorkel guide from the Akumal Dive Shop. Host saved us from being homeless, as she let us check in one night earlier than planned, when our Tulum housing fell through, due to flooding. Host had large variety of snorkel equipment and pool floaties, which was so convenient. We saw a stingray, small colorful fish, and urchins in the water by the condo. Every bedroom had a comfy, beautiful bed and its own balcony. Far exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much. My family of six had a fabulous time.

Great Place!

We had a great time with three couples celebrating three birthdays! Half Moon Bay was excellent and Yal Ku lagoon was exceptional for snorkeling. The condo was equipped with all the necessities and Rosa came in every day to tidy up. The view of the bay was outstanding from the porch balcony! Great place!!

Stunning Condo w/ Great Management

Francesca was an amazing property manager as was Roger who did the evening shift. Condo was definitely even better than pics with stunning views and lots of space. Location at the end of the row of a bunch of condos/hotels so not as in town feeling as we thought. Overall a great place to stay.

True delight when Internet vacation rentals can be questionable

There was a golden era of internet vacation rentals when listings were truthful and properties tended to be nice. Then scammers learned how to manipulate postings and reviews, and very often you don't really get what you think you will. That's not the case here. This property in Akumal was one of the best experiences we've ever had. The place is spotless, the snorkeling awesome, the safety wonderful, the amenities exactly as advertised, and the communication perfect. Daily housekeeping was a joy, cooking the occasional meal in the kitchen was relaxing (sometimes going out all the time is wearisome), and access to nearby attractions like Tulum and Xcaret was great. In short, this is a place we wouldn't hesitate to return to.

Dreamy vacation rental!

We have stayed in many rental houses and this is by far the best place that we have ever stayed. We had five nights and we really did not want to leave. The unit is absolutley gorgeous and incredibly spacious. It is much more beautiful than you can gather from the pictures and every bedroom has its own outdoor patio area. The ocean facing patio was our very favorite area and we spent every morning and evening there enjoying coffee or cocktails. We enjoyed the pool, the private beachfront seating and the lovely gardens. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We also really appreciated how quiet the complex is at night even over Christmas week. We snorkeled out front every day it did not disappoint. The extra fins were really nice as it is a hard item to travel with. The kitchen is well stocked though we did not really cook with Buena Vida and La Lunita just down the road. This place really is spectacular and we hope to have the opportunity to come back. I would highly recommend this unit! Also Jaclyn was great to communicate with and when we had a little issue she took care of it for us. 5 + stars.

Relaxing Getaway

Clean, quiet and spacious enough for 6 adults. Wonderful location at the end of the street which was walking distance to a cenote (~0.25 m), beach bar (La Buena Vida) and lovely dinner spot (La Lunita). Recommend hiring a private chef! They made so much there were leftovers for days and the food and chef (and his helpers) were a delight! Jaclyn was immensely helpful in making sure we had everything we needed, including an appt for our departure COVID tests. Condo staff was friendly and attentive. PRO TIP: Bring reef shoes. The snorkeling is great right outside the condo, however, it is coral so reef shoes are a must to easily access this amenity. Would definitely return! Thanks for a lovely experience.

Totally Incredible Vacation Condo!!!! 5 stars is not enough!!!!!

There are no words to describe how awesome this condo is!!! From the moment we arrived with an easy breezy check in we were awestruck by the views and the open layout and floorplan of the space. So welcoming, comfortable and just plain gorgeous!!! All the bedrooms were comfy and beautifully decorated. The kitchen living room bar area is where we spend most of the time, enjoying the amazing ocean and palm tree view and breezes. Everything we so well stocked and every single detail thought out. Perfect location for snorkeling, beach access and a short tuk tuk or golf cart ride to town.... so fun!! The staff and host were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We have stayed in so many rentals and this is hands down one of the best places we have ever stayed!!! If you are considering staying here... BOOK IT! You will not regret it. A DREAM COME TRUE paradise of a vacation spot!!! Thank you for everything! I hope we will be back!
