Made in Heaven

The property is excellent and Miguel the property manager is such a gem. Our flight was delayed and he waited until midnight to check us in and show us around. I have no words to thank him. The condo itself is so so comfortable. Two suggestions though. It needs an A/c in the living room and a washer dryer. The location is fantastic right on the beach and you wake to views to die for. Not much of a beach though and Sargasso is a problem though they try and clean up daily. There is a maid service too with the condo which is very convinient. We would definitely be coming back again as it is such a peaceful and quiet property. It has literally everything you can ask for in a beach property.

A comfortable stay with an ocean breeze

We had a wonderful stay here in Akumal Sur. Akumal Direct was very easy to work with. The directions to the place were easy to follow. This is a secure street, with a 24-hour security team. Once we passed the security and found the property, Miguel (Property Manager) was there to greet us. He showed us the lay of the land and offered a number of recommendations during our stay. The layout of the place was nice. 1 (known) drawback is that the A/C is only in the bedrooms. The main living room & kitchen did get hot. We found that during our down time our family of 4 retreated to their bedrooms to cool down during the day. The pool was great during our stay! The beach had 24 turtle nests established when we got there. This is the most they've had in the last 12 years! Like other reviewers had stated in their reviews. The beach is rocky. Between the rocks and the small urchins, water shoes are a must. The immediate swimming area is wonderful. You can walk out for 30 yards and still touch the bottom. Be mindful because of the corals! There is a reef that keeps the water calm without any current. No rip tides or concerns like that. They have kayaks and life preservers for you to use as needed throughout your stay. There is a groundskeeper (Freddy) and a maid (Daesi). Everyone there was wonderful. What I enjoyed was the pride that the staff had in their little slice of paradise. It was refreshing to see our enjoyment was their #1 priority. Great place!

Wonderful place for vacation

This was our first trip to Mexico and we couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. The on-site staff were friendly and welcoming, and the managers answered all my questions. The view was stunning and the condo was clean, well-stocked and a great place to relax just steps from the beach. The reason I gave a four-star overall rating is because the rental next door - on the Master Bedroom side - is very close. So for several days we were treated to a family with extremely noisy children playing in the pool. After they left it was a somewhat less (not much) noisy group staying there. We asked both groups to keep the noise down, but it didn’t last long. The way the properties are laid out it sounded like they were in the condo with us. I would stay here again, but probably bring some good earplugs.

Great Stay

The property was well-kept. The property manager, Miguel, was wonderful. If you speak Spanish, take some time to chat with him. There are rocks at the water's edge (which is the case in much of this area), so I do recommend bringing water shoes. The kitchen is stocked with essential appliances (coffee maker, blender, stove, microwave). There was daily cleaning. We had a fabulous time and would consider returning to this property.

The Condo was perfect, Miguel who’s on the premises was such a nice and helpful person.

Would stay here again,thank you Miguel who’s on the premises, he’s such a nice and very helpful person. We loved the views and the quietness of the beach area. The condo was very well equipped for our stay we cooked most of our meals and loved the balcony table view. Miguel cooked us dinner one night and it was delicious. Thank you for the great experience.

A Nice Quiet Haven on the Beach

This place was a great alternative to the crowds and activity of Akumal Bay. The beach was beautiful, quiet and safe. The condo unit itself had a lot of Mexican charm and fit nicely with what we were looking for. The unit could use a little updating, but it was clean, well-appointed and homey. And the views were absolutely perfect. Finally, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. Francisco greeted us warmly, even as we arrived after hours and about two hours later than expected. Miguel cooked us a homemade meal that rivaled the best Mexican food we have ever eaten. For us, Seven Seas #6 was the foundation for what was truly a great vacation.

Great place to get away!

Beautiful and clean location quiet and away from it all. Small complex with great management and nice neighbors. A short drive to restaurants but worth it for the beautiful views and peaceful setting.

Seven Seas, Unit #6

We arrived in a downpour and the power was out, typical for Mexico. Our property manager, Miguel brought candles and assured us it would be back soon on and it was. He was at our disposal all the time and was a great help with taxis and restaurant recommendations. The condo was what was promised in the pictures, well equipped and comfortable. #6 is the best unit as you can throw a rock to the ocean and be lulled to sleep by the waves. Nice balcony and furnishings. The water pressure wasn't great, but it wasn't a problem. The best feature of the property is the concierge, David. He lined up our transportation to and from the airport, highly recommended, set up our ride to the Ruins and arranged for a private chef, Francisco to come and cook for us. The dinners were fantastic. You pick the menu and he does the rest. The downside for us was that you couldn't walk anywhere, no quaint little town close by, and the beach was beautiful, but rocky and very hard to swim. If you are going for a relaxing getaway, it's perfect. If you are looking for nightlife or great restaurants and shopping, not the place to go. It was what we wanted and we had a great time.
