We stayed at this condo between 25th of March and 11th of April 2022. The location is very confortable, it is between Tulum and Playa del Carmen, everything you need it's quite close within 15 min drive. The condo itself is well equipped, everything you need it is there. It looks new, well cared for, beds are quite comfortable, it is very important after a long sunny day at the beach. Reviera Maya offers lots of activities, recreational parks, tours, etc, this condo is a good place to be when you are planning to do all that. I do recomend this place.

Property manager pulled everything together

Very nice area. Very quiet. So close to the pool its great to keep an eye on the kids. Akumal public beach only 5min drive and very clean. Pool cleaned every day, very clean. Property manager very attentive, helps with everything, the go-to guy for everywhere to go and everything to do in the area. Cons Check-in a bit complicated but understandable because of the security in the area The carbon monoxide alarm was going off when we arrived but property manager and a neighbor helped us turn it off (battery was low) but also good to know the fire alarm and CO2 alarms are functioning and people are safe. Condo needed a little cleaning touch up before we arrived but manager contacted a house cleaner quickly and she cleaned up nicely.

This place is lovely and the host / property manager were very responsive to requests. The 1st floor poolside location is superb and the pool was nice, large, uncrowded and clean. The home was clean and in good repair and had no issues with anything like A/C, hot water, appliances etc. At one point the stove lighter stopped working and I asked the host where we could get a new one and he called a neighbor who brought one right down. You’ll definitely want a rental car to get around but the neighborhood amidst the PGA links is double gated, safe, quiet and clean. 5 minute drive to Akumal, Grand Bahia, Kay beach (and several other non-private beaches), cenotes. 15 minutes to a large grocery store (Chedraui) in Playa Abemturad and to Xel Ha the other direction, and 30 minutes to Tulum or Playa del Carmen. They’ve turned the road into a freeway since the last time I visited the area which made getting here from the airport and to other spots up and down the Mayan Riviera easy and fast.

Fun area to be in; A/C and Water a bit antiquated

We love the property. Nice place. Water went out completely for 2 days. A/C wasn't working for a few days either. But the manager is great. Great price.

Condo condition not as expected. Very disappointed.

When I arrived at the condo it had not been cleaned. I did send photos to the owner who had cleaners come the next day. I had to sleep on the couch the first night because the sheets were so dirty. I did send pictures to the owner. In addition there was no hot water for 3 days and there was a terrible egg smell that I could not get rid of. The shower head was leaking and the sink in the bathroom could not be unplugged. In addition there was no washer or dryer in the unit. The location of the unit is lovely and the complex is amazing. I have sent all of my concerns to the owner requesting some form of compensation which he has agreed to refund me $380.00. Which I appreciate. As I mentioned to Youssef the unit does need attention.

Overall Solid

The property and location were great. The management company was responsive. The only real issue with the unit was the curtains. They did not fit any of the windows or doors correctly and therefore did not provide privacy. Otherwise location to the pool could not be better. Would reccomend and would stay again.

Comfortable & Secluded Retreat

My first time staying outside of a hotel/resort so take that into account. Initially getting checked in and just finding the condo was a bit frustrating, mainly because we arrived when it was dark and the streets are not well lit or marked real well, plus the overall complex is so large it can get you turned around pretty easily. The condo is well maintained and quite charming. That was especially nice since the tropical storm kept up inside the unit more often than we probably would have been. Overall, the unit is well stocked with everything you need except for one small item. My wife and I are juicers, so it would have been nice to have even a hand juicer in the unit but it didn't keep us from enjoying some fresh squeezed juices while we were there. We actually tried to find one in the store in Tulum to no avail, otherwise we would have bought it and just left it for you to enjoy in the future. The only real issue we had was the power going off the night before we had to leave and when we were trying to pack and clean up. We had real issues given it was so late at night trying to use just lights on our cell phone to see. Having to get up real early 3:00 am to catch our Cancun flights without any lighting was getting rather stressful until finally one of the security guards remembered there are breakers for the unit outside the condo and quickly solved our issue. Once flipped back on we were able to finish up packing and charge up our phones to make our flights. I would definitely have available a secondary light source for the unit for those just in case situations. All and all, very pleased with the condo, its furnishings, the management staff over seeing it and the resort it sits within. If I return again to Akumal I would definitely rent it again.
