Initially, there was a little hiccup with my particular Villa, but the owner was very fast to help me feel better and happy. The place was very clean, very cozy, and I made so many friends with the local staff and especially everyone in the restaurant underneath the villa, La Lunita. It is outstanding! I plan to visit Hacienda de Tortuga again.

Chill week away from the hustle and bustle

This property was exactly what we were hoping for. It was away from the hustle and bustle and encouraged us to unplug and live in the moment. We used the pool and beach daily. So nice to have the balance of the pool and the ocean. A/C works well in bedroom and a great breeze comes through for the rest of the condo. Daily housekeeping is a great perk and the walk to Midway Food Store is short and easy to get some supplies. We would definitely stay here again. It was fabulous!

This was a perfect stay for us. The condo was the perfect size and it was nice to have all the amenities of both a hotel cleaning/water service and the full kitchen of a home. We rented a golf cart to get around which was so fun and everything was so close. The balcony and hammock overlooking the whole bay was breathtaking. We had awesome snorkeling right out our door and amazing food at la lunita, the jungle cafe, and la Buena vida. Cherri had perfect recommendations for everything. 10/10 can’t wait to come back here!

Lovely view, comfortable condo

We loved staying at Hacienda La Tortuga. The view was amazing, the snorkeling was great and the pool was perfect. It was a safe and comfortable location, convenient to many sights on the Riviera Maya. We will come back.

Quiet Beachfront Escape

A nice place overlooking a quiet beach with access for snorkeling. Renting a golf cart to explore the nearby town was a great option.

Hacienda de la Tortuga

This was a dream spot for a vacation. Gourmet restaurant on the ground floor, darling jungle breakfast place across the street. The view was beautiful from the balcony. We spent hours relaxing on the beach everyday on the lounge chairs in front of the building, and went snorkeling in the afternoons. We visited the Monkey refuge and took and excursion to the ruins. We walked to town and visited the restaurants- so charming. It was a wonderful vacation, thanks Cherri and all staff of Hacienda de la Tortuga. PS Drinks are wonderful at the restaurant, the sangria was the best I've ever had.

Great views and great restaurant downstairs

The unit has great views. It is conveniently located in the building with the best restaurant in the area. They do a good job cleaning the waterfront from seaweed even in times it gets bad (we were here once in summer). Refrigerator has seen better times, but it still works efficiently. Overall we were very pleased with the stay.

Great view!

Liked this condo a lot. Only complaint we had was the bed pillows. Heavy foam which was hot and stiff. Other than that it was great. Staff were excellent.

Beautiful setting and view. Restaurant downstairs was excellent. We enjoyed the beach and our balcony. Now if you like to swim this isn’t a great spot. Very rocky and difficult to enter water. Snorkeling is nice but you must get far off shore. The condo was on 3rd floor and you must walk up. Also many up and down levels (steps) in condo itself, not conducive to older people. As mentioned food was good at restaurant below but the noise and loud talking was not enjoyable from noon till late at nite. The condo itself needs some up dating, but the view as great.

Paradise!

My husband and I have been vacationing in Akumal for over 25 years and our stay at Hacienda de la Tortuga was by far the loveliest place we've ever stayed. From the location on the beach and laid back atmosphere of Half Moon Bay, it's the perfect little paradise to rest and relax! The condo was everything that is described in the VRBO description and Cheeri is a wonderful and responsive host. My husband and I can't wait to return next year!!!

Lovel apartment with a great view !

The apartment is very comfortable and the balcony and view are spectacular. Great area with wonderful restaurants and lovely people! We never used the pool, although it looked great. The beach was perfect and we spent a lot of time their. Everything was as depicted!

Another Amazing Stay in Paradise!!!

This property is perfect for 2 people. My wife and I spent 16 glorious days at the Hacienda de la Tortuga and it was the most relaxing vacation I've ever been on. This is our second year to stay in unit 8 and it really feels like home. The property has everything you need to let go and relax and just enjoy every minute of every day. The location on the beach is peaceful and perfect for just relaxing in a lounge chair under a palapa with your favorite cerveza. The location is also perfect if you like to snorkel, we are beginners of snorkeling but I can't imagine it gets much more beautiful for snorkeling than in Half Moon Bay. I highly recommend this property if you are looking for the perfect place to relax and recharge and enjoy each other's company. Also located within an easy bike ride or relaxing walk are 4-5 laid back relaxing delicious restaurants, in order of my favorites are La Buena Vida, Turtle Bay Café, Que Onda, La Lunita (located in building), and Taverna. You can't go wrong choosing this property for your paradise vacation.

Beautiful stay in paradise

This was an amazing stay in Akumal. Cherries has been so attentive in making sure out stay was perfect. We witnessed turtles hatching and making their way into the ocean right next to Tortuga as well as swam with turtles. The snorkeling was also amazing and we got some beautiful moments with adult turtles in the ocean. The room itself was always well kept and they had fresh water for us at all times. We are very thankful to the building manager Roberto, as well as Cherri for making this such an experience to remember! 5 stars all the way!

Very nice beach location

Cherri was awesome to work with when it came to booking her condos, she left no stone unturned, included all the information we needed to make this a very enjoyable trip. All the information she gave us was extremely helpful. We rented a golf cart to get around which was a lot of fun. Our big bonus was watching the turtles come ashore dig their nest and lay their eggs but you have to wait until around 12:30 or 1:00 in the morning to catch them. W On our last day there a nest of 96 turtles hatched and we got some great videos of the babies scurrying down to the water. It is very unusual for this to happen during the day so we were really blessed to be able to see a complete cycle. Condo #8 as the best view.

Wonderful experience!

We are so glad we found Cherri and her property! She was very accommodating with our last minute booking and made everything extremely easy for us. The property is in a perfect location and the views are beautiful! We so enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back! Highly recommend visiting Edwin at La Beuna Vida down the road ☺️

1.The views are incredible from your balcony 2.The people of Akumal are great (see how far a little Spanish can go) 3.La Lunita downstairs has exceptional food 4.Que Onda and Buena Vida nearby are also great eating experiences 5.lovely Condo...Comfortable room, bed, great service if you need it... 6.What more can I say?...We have been to Akumal 5 times, this condo was our favorite!
